"Nice Tour of History Channel Related Shows & Car Places - A Bit Rushed!"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

I booked this tour at the last minute using Groupon & the Groupon took longer to process than I expected so I had trouble booking the tour due to Groupon. But the tour was very reliable and right on time to be picked up. They took us on a tour of several car shops including Shelby, Count Customs, Mad Max rod like shop etc .Very good if you like cars & watch the History Channel shows. The main attraction of the tour was going to Pawn Stars pawn shop. If you don't pay for the $99 Meet&Greet tour to begin with you have to pay an extra $40 to meet a Pawn Star 'celebrity'. I chose that option to pay the extra money to meet the star, Chumlee (with the Groupon the cost of my Meet and Greet Tour was then $93). Chumlee was very friendly and willing to talk about his career and life & he was very nice greeting everyone with a photo etc. He had been filming so he was dressed up for TV. They took us to a replica sale room in the back where they sometimes film so they don't have to close the front. I was surprised with how open and friendly Chumlee was..we also had some time to eat at Rick's BBQ place next door as well as visit Chumlee's candy shop where his brother works selling candy - they have a strong resemblance. I did ask the tour guide to stay longer at the stop and we did somewhat - but I still felt rushed. I think the tour guide should have given us more time to shop or eat at the main stop. Because if you do the meet and greet you only get 15 minutes for the restaurant, bar, candy shop and pawn shop which means you can really only do one thing. I feel the tour should have let us stay there for the meet and greet plus an additional 45 minutes so we could have lunch or shop leisurely as they didn't really give us much time on this stop at all. We then went to the card shop and toy shop from the Pawn Stars show & we were dropped back on the Strip one hour earlier than the tour was supposed to end. I felt the tour should have allowed us more time at the Pawn Shop area to enjoy it instead of just being rushed through it etc. The tour gave not only information about the history channel shows but also general information about Las Vegas which was really good - including lots of information about old Las Vegas. So I think the weakness of the tour was not giving us enough time to enjoy the main stop and the rushed feeling at the stop which then lead to the tour ending an hour early. But otherwise the tour was good especially if you like cars.

"Count Customs Tour"

We were picked up by a Annie Bananie tour van to take us on our tour of Count Customs. The driver was fabulous and gave us trivia about Las Vegas and sites that might be of interest. Our tour included Count Customs; Shelby American Museum; WelderUp; and lunch at Danny Koker's restaurant 'Count Vamps'. Unfortunately Shelby American was closed on New Year's Eve day, but Annie Bananie's managed to get us a tour of the large Harley Davidson showroom. It was nice, but a bit disappointing that we missed Carroll Shelby's museum. Overall this was a great tour and I would recommend them.

We had a private group of 14. The driver was on time and very knowledgeable of the Las Vegas history. We were able to stop along the way at some unique places and buy handmade gifts. We were able to make it almost 8000ft elevation and take plenty photos.
