Vacation Lodge is old needs remodeling. Very poor and outdated rooms, several repairs need attention. No handles in shower, for assistance. Breakfast was horrible.

"Was just enough"
April 2019
The rooms was clean, beds comfortable. Location was excellent! Didn’t eat the breakfast so no comment there. Pool was average, needed to have towels there or notice of no towels at pool area to save a wet run to the room!

Tip: Was a nice place away from home to lay your head after hours of wandering around!

"Location, Location LOcation."
April 2019
This was an ideal location to see and experience all that Pigeon Forge has to offer. One drive down to road and there was so much to choose from, you couldn't do it all in a week if you tried.. . Weather was cool but great for sightseeing. And it was a perfect location at Vacation Lodge to view the choices. Love to go back and hit the shopping places. We felt the lodging was great. Price was phenomenal, breakfast good, just there for the bed and it was comfortable.

Tip: Check out times of dinner theaters so you can plan your day to get there on time. And possibly take a quick nap before you go to the show.

"Much nicer than Expected"
March 2019
This place was good overall, and GREAT for a cheap motel. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable, the staff was friendly, the biscuits at breakfast were yummy, and we absolutely could not beat the price. The location is hard to beat in terms of access to all the attractions and restaurants. For anyone looking to go cheap on lodging so that they can visit more attractions in Pigeon Forge, this is the place to stay.

Edited to add: The parking lot is well lit and I felt safe staying here with my 5-year-old. This isn't a five-star hotel, but the costs cut are on frills, not maintenance, cleanliness, or safety.

Tip: You're right on the strip, so the traffic noise is pretty loud. On the other hand, you're RIGHT ON THE STRIP, with a trolley stop in the parking lot. The location is amazing.

The cleaning women don’t really clean...it’s more just straighten up the beds a little and give fresh towels. They should definitely let you know that it costs $0.25 for ice and where breakfast is served when you check in. Breakfast is interesting. Others have written about it so there’s no need to write more about it beyond saying that after 9 there aren’t any donuts left. I can honestly say you get what you pay for. The pool is tiny...tiny. I’ve stayed in other 2.5 star motel/hotels and had a better experience.

"Great location and comfy place to sleep"

This was our 5th visit to Pigeon Forge but our first stay at the Vacation Lodge. We planned this trip the week before and looked for a place to sleep, with breakfast and a pool to cool off in. We were on the go having fun and shopping and didnt spend much time there, so for the price this place worked for us. Breakfast was served 8-10am and consisted of coffee (Folgers), juice options, and milk. Food-they had biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs, bagels you could toast, sausage on Tues. and Sat. They also had packets of several kinds of oatmeal you could make. There was usually Krispy Kreme glazed donuts available. The room was pretty clean and the AC worked great. We also travel with a fan to help minimize noise from outside. They are adding on to this place so the sound of construction is to be expected with that. The machines beep when they are moving, the generators are loud, and you have to walk right next to the guys working to get to the pool but there it is fenced off. The pool is small, there are 4 lounge chairs and a few red plastic chairs, so sometimes you might not get one. But again we were not there to swim or hang out,so not a big deal to us. The front desk was always helpful when we had questions and they were polite and told us all the new things we could check out in the area since we had last been to the area. We liked being able to walk across the street to one of our fav. places to eat- The Old Mill Restaurant (a must do).

Great location, good WiFi, rooms have a microwave and fridge, clean and quiet with a good nights sleep. The staff was very helpful and offered tips on catching the around town trolley. It looks like they’re adding an additional building that will have an elevator. The breakfast is very minimal compared to what most hotels offer, but it does the job. Overall it was a good choice, to do better you’d have to spend quite a bit more.

"The WORST hotel"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

HORRIBLE hotel. I usually dont write reviews. But i have to write this review after my stay at Vacation Lodge. The rooms were old and dirty. You could write on the dust on the dresser, thats how thick it was. We had to ask to please come and clean the bathroom, it was dirty and had a bad odor as soon as you walked in. Every time they came and supposedly clean the bathroom, and it still smelled dirty. A hotel does not have to be 5 star...but should be clean. The person at the front desk was the most unfriendly person i have encountered. It was obvious that Customer service was not in her vocabulary. The only reason i stayed was i paid upfront and was to late to find another hotel. This hotel is NOT the place you want to stay. 0 stars from me and my family.
