"Great Value Hotel"

My family stayed here overnight while passing through Pigeon Forge. As far as the location, you really cannot get any better. This hotel is walking distance to The Island, which has many food choices, shops and entertainment. You can walk across the street to The Track for Go Carts and Putt Putt golf. Walking distance to The Pirates Voyage and The Comedy Barn. It was a great place to stay if you don't want to fight the traffic on the strip but still want to enjoy some of Pigeon Forge's fun attractions. The hotel was pretty basic, but it was clean. No carpet was one thing that I was most pleased about! They had laminate flooring so no carpet. The bathroom could use some updating, but clean. I would certainly consider returning for a short term visit. I probably wouldn't stay more than a night or 2. The staff at the front desk was welcoming and allowed us to check in a little bit early.

The lady at the hotel desk was rude and i feel like they were trying to get it into the cancellation period so i couldn't cancel.

"Dirty"

Room hadn’t been swept, dusted, and tub was very dirty- had to clean before even taking a shower. Microwave and coffee maker looked like they were never cleaned, couldn’t use the coffee maker as it wouldn’t come clean. Phone didn’t work as the fixture was broken. Staff was very pleasant.

"Town too busy, but the Hotel satisfied our needs"

Had overall a good 1 night stay. Other than the laminated floor the room was generally clean. Seems like most hotels find it difficult to keep the floors clean, whether carpet, tile or laminate. Do not understand that. There are bathrooms and hot water in every room, so it should be easy to empty the mop bucket and fill it with clean water for every room. It is that simple. The bed slept well, Fox News was available on the TV. The water pressure was good and hot. We were on the ground floor, but they have an elevator. Pet fee is a little high at $25 per pet! The best spot to walk a dog was behind the hotel but actually over to behind the next hotel. There is some grass there. I did not see any other safe area for a tea cup. There is a wonderful concrete walking path that winds its way along the strong flowing clear water river behind the hotel. Do not miss it it. So peaceful and cool. I spent a lot of time on Trip Advisor to find a restaurant with good drinks and food we would like that was walking distance, but I finally gave up and took on the extreme traffic on again and drove to the Local Goat. People congregated outside and laughed and talked until about 11pm before it quietened down. Other wise it was a quite night. Breakfast was a normal 2 star fair. The only hot item was pancakes. A welcome change from the hard waffles every man and his dog hotel have these days. I did not have one but I think the doughnuts were Crispy Creme. All the staff was friendly and helpful. It feels like one should get more for nearly $200 per night, but I guess it is Pigeon F. PF is just too crazy for peace loving travelers. I admit there is endless stuff to keep kids occupied. The traffic is horrendous. I did not time how long it took us from the I40 to the hotel, but it must have been at least an hour or more. PF should be a perfect gate way to the Smokeys, but it is just a tourist trap in my opinion. We will spend more time in the mountains in future, but Pigeon Forge and Timbers Lodge will not be on our itinerary and it will not be during school holidays.
