"Short Stay"

Stayed here for 5 nights by myself finishing off 4 weeks in Hawaii. I think it seems to be more of an adult resort as I saw a lot of older people and couples. Location is good, close to restaurants and just a block back from the Main Street. They provide a trolley which you can use by showing your room card which stops at Al Moana Centre, the zoo and Diamond Head among other places. Check in was okay. There is no lei provided and I didn’t feel overly welcomed but the important things were covered. Room was clean and comfortable with water replenished every day which you pay for in the daily resort fee. I was called at 4.30am one morning by another guest asking if the water was free?! Music plays until 9/10pm each night especially if you have a room overlooking the pool and lobby areas. There is a Starbucks located in the lobby area and a great Martin & McArthur store also worth a visit. Bell men and valets were very friendly and helpful. I would come back for a short stay.

We stayed her as a family of 3 for 10 days and could not have chosen a better hotel or location. The Aloha welcome on arrival was much appreciated after a very long flight from the UK the luggage guys were really helpful too, and didn't hang around for their tip which was refreshing. The room was a part ocean view on the 4th floor and I couldn't believe how quite the rooms were, it was very rare we heard any noise from elsewhere. The pillows and beds were super comfy and the room kept clean and fridge topped with bottled water. We ate at the bar for lunch sometimes and at the beach restaurant both were really lovely food and service. The activities on offer were a lovely touch to find out more about the Hawaiian culture, a special mention to Sherwin who just had the Aloha spirit radiating from him. When I read the reviews on here a few mention the tired looking lobby and time share - so I came prepared with my big no thanks, and to be disappointed at check in.... I'm not sure which lobby they related to because there was nothing tired about here! Neither were we once asked about time share - although I did see people being shown round. Overall this hotel has a perfect relaxed atmosphere, fabulous staff, lovely food, and is based in a great location on the quieter end of Waikiki beach. I'm sure there are more up market hotels but I'm not sure they could ever have the same feel. If you are thinking of booking this hotel you will not be disappointed, one day we hope to return. Mahola x

"Beautiful views and Great staff!"

My husband and I stayed here for our 40th anniversary. The staff here is amazing. The room we originally was booked in had a bed that needed replacement (had a side that dipped in). This was a partial ocean view room on one of the top floors. Great view and beautiful room but bed was our concern. We spoke to Joseph about it at front desk and he arranged for us to be moved to another room. He even upgraded us to a full ocean view room with spectacular views at no additional cost! Big shout out to Joseph for exceptional customer service. He made our 40th wonderful! Additionally the music every night at the outdoor restaurant was so beautiful and relaxing and could be enjoyed just sitting in the lobby on the comfortable couches and chairs. We Loved that! We had a great buffet breakfast every morning at the the reef restaurant. So many choices of food from fruit and yogurt to eggs and meat choices. Fresh juice and coffee. It was very good! Our bed was very comfortable and room had nice couch, flat screen TV, beautiful bathroom with large granite counter. Fridge in room. Got 2 free water bottles everyday and they also had a water bottle filling station that was so convenient. We could walk to stores and restaurants which was very convenient. We didn’t rent a car though for the stay because of the fee to park there. Was very high $50 a night. Would have been nice to have a car to see more of the island. We did rent a car for one day to travel to North shore and Dole plantation.

nice room, nice staff not pushy like on mainland nicely positioned so can walk down to the beach and go fro a drink at the Pink Palace, which is quite famous. I like the Hawaian pace The turtles / snorkelling trips are well worth it, and also downloading the Biki app, and then cycling arond. The Aramoana shopping cebtere was very good, and the food court there was stress free comapred to eating out in mainland USA where it was a constant battel, with the waiting staff thinking we want to be entertained with playful conmversatiopn , trying to get a tip/gratuity maxed, painful++++
