"Well NOW I've impressed my teenager"

My son and I went to Toronto for his Spring break to tour the Hockey Hall of Fame and other sights. I splurged on this hotel since our trip was a road trip (so no airfare costs). We really loved this hotel. The lobby is gorgeous; the bar is plush and comfortable. The staff were all super nice and helpful. The real star, though, was our room. We had a 2 double bed room and it was huge! We had a living room area complete with a couch, coffee table, 2 chairs; a big desk and chair to the side; the beds and a decent size bathroom. Really fancy! I visited the spa and had a nice treatment, but it's a small spa, very small steam shower, and is not operated by the hotel (different company - I couldn't put the treatment on my hotel bill). Felt a little fly by night - only one person working there, etc. Nothing "wrong" per se, but just not what I would expect from a fancy hotel's spa. They may have upgraded since I've been there. Hotel location is fantastic - right in the main downtown area near everything. I just hope my son doesn't think we're always staying at hotels like this now!

"The King Edward - sets a high standard for Toronto hotels."

As a frequent travelling business executive, I am normally a very critical judge of hotel standards, and generally hard to impress. Downtown Toronto is full of pretentious, over-priced, mediocre hotels. However, for the OMNI King Edward Hotel, all I can say is, Wow! The King Edward Hotel exemplifies true hospitality excellence. The building is a wonderfully restored architectural gem, and is impeccability maintained. Every employee that I encountered, from my room attendant, room service waiter, front desk clerk, and doorman, demonstrated great customer service and superior hospitality training. My room was large (yes even the washroom - sometimes a problem in historical hotels). The condition of my 10th floor room (indeed the overall hotel) was excellent - spotless (lol, as a former hotel Director of Housekeeping - I know where to look). The bedding was heavenly. My evening meal (room service) was hot and tasty, and presented with first-class service. Breakfast in the breakfast room was also good. My only complaint would be that my stay was too short, however I can't wait to stay again - soon! (Congratulations - Well Done!)

Beautiful hotel in Toronto!!!! So historical and amazing classic decor inside. First, the room was beautiful and had an amazing lounge area with a couch, tv, and bar type table and the bedroom was kept in a separate room. The views from the room were great, I really like the area this hotel is in the the city, it’s not too crazy or loud. The bed was amazing and so comfortable and the overall look was so regal and beautiful, much better than the pictures on the website. We were offered breakfast delivered in our room in the morning as a part of the package we won and the food was good but delivery was on the slower side. We had cocktails in the bar/restaurant attached to the hotel and they were excellent. We also had high tea and it was a fantastic experience. The service was too notch and the food was amazing. Highly recommend this hotel and everything it has to offer!!!
