"Amazing Stay!"

We stayed here during our trip for five days. This was our first time in New York City and it was exceptional. Since it was the first time visiting, I spent weeks researching hotels looking at neighborhoods, reviews, room types, everything! I’m so happy we decided on The Gotham! From the front desk to the restaurant there were no issues. Everyone was very helpful, attentive, and kind. The pictures are exactly like the rooms. We stayed in the king balcony room on the back side of the building which was really cool and quiet. We also stayed in the queen balcony room because we didn’t do our dates correctly lol and thankfully they had a room open. Looking out on the balcony in the queen room was awesome. We are returning over Christmas and have rebooked the queen balcony room and I can’t wait! This room is noisier but it’s not to the point of not being able to sleep. My husband and I live in the country surrounded by cow fields so if I can sleep with the noise level anyone can!

The staff were fantastic, and nothing was to much for them. Hotel was clean and in a fantastic location. My new wife and I were on our honeymoon, and arrived on our second day of marriage! The hotel is in a fantastic location for all the essential tourist needs. 5th Avenue on the door step, time square 3 blocks up. Rockefeller 4 blocks down. All in easy walking distance. Would recommend this hotel to anyone and I have a couple times!!! We had the best honeymoon and they hotel made this possible also. Thank you and we will see you again

We really enjoyed our stay at the Gotham and would definitely stay here again. This is a small Hotel (only about 2 rooms wide) in a great central location to attractions. There is a coffee shop right next door as well as restaurants. We booked the Skyline room to have a bit more space and it was perfect for the 2 of us--private terrace, small sofa, comfortable bed. The staff was very friendly and helpful and having Wolfgang's Steak House on site was a bonus on Valentine's Day. Overall, this was a great Hotel for our stay and a reasonable cost (we've stayed in Hotels that cost twice as much).

The staff was very helpful and would help us in any way possible. The room was clean and we enjoyed the balconies. Parking was actually a breeze as their is a parking garage right across the street, it is a bit expensive but for NYC parking, it's probably right on point. The effortlessness made the cost worth it to park there and it was easy to check in and check out.

This was an okay experience. We booked the “Penthouse” junior suite, and it isn’t exactly what the pictures advertised it to be. Of course the photos are taken with a professional camera and lighting but note that it looks more upscale than it really is. The wood on the furniture was worn and scratched and scuffed. The floors seriously need to be redone. The balcony views are nice but the glass ledge is very low and flimsy, it hardly feels safe being on the 25th floor. This suite is on the roof and is the only room on that floor, but when we checked into our room there were construction workers upstairs most of the day. They were up there earlier than 9am working and making noise, which sucks because check out is noon and we were hoping to sleep in. The major pro about this hotel is really only the location, you are walking distance from grand central which is why the price is so high.
