Description

from The Dead of Night Ghost Tour
Hear factual stories of real ghosts who inhabit the town of Williamsburg. Follow your costumed, ghostly guide down eerie streets, by candlelight. A first-person tour, your guide becomes a ghost from the 18th Century, who lived and died in this very haunted town. You will experience the Peyton Randolph House, the most haunted in Virginia. Guests often see and hear strange, inexplicable sights and sounds, so you will not want to attend without a camera in hand. A truly one-of-a-kind, unique tour you will not want to miss!

This original tour is what our business has been built on. Our success is because of this unique and fun tour. Presented by the ghost of an 18th century character from town, you will be taken down the hauntingly scary streets, by candlelight.

Suitable for all age groups, children love the character in costume as older guests fully understand the fully researched ghost stories that are told. This tour is not a history tour. Children ages 6 and under are free.

"Super Fun"
June 2019
Took this night tour on June 17, 2019. There are many ghost tours, but I chose this one because the stories are based on actual experiences. Our guide Will was superb. He was dressed in colonial costume and spoke in a British accent as he pretended to be the spirit of Samuel Henning, former local resident. He was knowledgeable, and friendly. We learned a lot about the local history. You can take pictures when the guide directs. May need to use your cellphone flaslight to avoid the occasional horse droppings from the day's carriage rides. All in all, a great tour.

"Enjoyable Tour"
December 2018
This tour was so fun! If you’re one who loves ghost stories and the supernatural, this is for you. The meet up spot is in a cute little shopping center with plenty to do beforehand. Shop and eat before the tour. Our tour guide was excellent. Had a nice voice as well that I could listen to all day.

Our group of six two were teenagers. The tour was excellent, the tour guide was great, he dressed in period custom and spoke in character. Our teenagers enjoyed the whole experience. We took some pictures and when got back to the hotel we actually can see what looks like a soldier In the cemetery with a long rifle. Overall it was a good experience, and I would recommend it highly

"Terrible, rude customer service"

We were looking forward to enjoying this while on vacation. When trying to book using a discount voucher the customer service agent Bonnie was rude and stated that she had spoken to me when she hadn’t. I followed the directions listed yet she accused me of lying. She scolded me and kept insisting that I had called and wouldn’t let me get a word in. I don’t need to be scolded for using a discount. If you don’t want to give discounts, then don’t offer them. There are many other ghost tour companies in Williamsburg. I will be taking my business elsewhere.

""Ghost" from the past was our guide in our present."

Will was our wonderful guide who transformed into the ghost of Professor Samuel Henley at the first stop. Told from the point of view of an 18th century person, the tour was engaging and fun without being too spooky or scary for the faint of heart or the youngsters. "Professor Henley" interacted with us and answered questions with energy and enthusiasm. When I come back to Williamsburg I will be reserving another tour and will ask for Will Watkins as my guide!

My family and I went on this tour and had an amazing time. We enjoyed seeing the 17th century clothing and absolutely loved the fact that our tour guide was in character during the tour. There are multiple tours, and after seeing the two that I did I will definitely be back to see the others. We truly loved this tour ! Perfect family night out.
