It’s a very nice place to stay while visiting the Mojave National Preserve, which is about 60 miles south of South Point. They have several excellent restaurants and a very large casino. Their staff is helpful and very accommodating. We always stay there on our trips to the desert.

"Awesome Day!!!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

Decided to take a break from the Strip and 6 of us headed to South Point. Plan was to grab some lunch at the Cafe and check it out. Ending up staying there until midnight. Cafe breakfast lunch/breakfast was great! Played blackjack for hours. Good table minimums and pays 3/2. They also have double deck pitch was is my favorite. A couple of us decided to enter the 2 p.m. poker tournament. Well run, great room!!! Cashed!! Hit the tables again then we decided to grab dinner at the Silverado Steak House which was recommended by one of the dealers. Great dinner, nice ambiance, good wine and service, very reasonable compared to the strip. Hit the tables again for a couple of hours before taking off. I believe this will be my new "Go to". Next trip we will stay here and take the trip to the strip for a day. Love SP!!!

"Off Strip hotel with Strip feel."
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

Large hotel with casino off main part of strip in Vegas. Rooms are large and nice - mine was clean and I liked that they don't have carpet. There was a small fridge in the room. The casino isn't as large as what you would find on the strip, but is brighter and cleaner than those downtown. Drink prices were reasonable. Hotel got mixed reviews from others at the conference I was at, but I didn't have any problems and would stay there again. The only negative from my perspective was that the ventilation system in the casino here doesn't seem quite as good as most of the larger casinos - there's quite a bit of cigarette smoke smell. It isn't overpowering, but if you have respiratory issues it's something to be aware of. There's also a movie theater and a huge bowling alley on site which was fun.
