    "Quick get away"

Planned a night get away from me and my friend, unfortunately My friend was unable to go so I went solo. The front desk made it very enjoyable and were able to assist me in places to eat and showed me to my room which was magnificent with a large walk in shower and a Jacuzzi tub. It had a great view of the sunset mountains. Parking it limited so coming home from dinner I had to walk from across the street. Which typically wouldn’t be bad except I was in heels... over all a great place for some girl time, family time, or some self love solo time!

    "Rude front desk"

I booked a room for my daughter and payed through When she got there they refused the room because she wasn’t 21. It states it on their website buried in small print. The girl at the front desk, Angelica, was extremely rude and unhelpful. Luckily, I found her another room, but getting her money refunded has become a major issue. Diamond resorts has to “approve” it. We won’t be going back to a diamond resort.

"Beautiful suite, but avoid their hard sell"

I stayed in the two BR condo and it was really nice and clean. Patio had a ceiling fan which was nice in the evenings. But, they disguise a timeshare pitch as a "welcome package". It was bizarre. The location is great- west of downtown with a little breathing room from the traffic. Seems great for families but not ideal for just a couple.

    "Location, Location, Location"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

Although there were some disappointments with our unit, the other considerations were very good. All resort staff were wearing masks. Wish the rest of the people in the resort and town would have had masks. Understandable why AZ is having a problem with Covid. Of course, the location is premier with great views just a short walk away. It is close to all the main hiking trails which is our primary purpose for this visit. Restaurants were close and open with most following CDC guidelines for customer safety. If we went into a restaurant and the staff was not wearing masks, we turned around and left. Two well worth visiting include Oaxaca (in town) and Cafe Jose (Safeway shopping center). We normally go to Los Rosales for apps and prickly pear margaritas, but they were not wearing masks. Maybe they will be by now. Too many trails to list, but we spent 2-4 hours a day on trails. Make sure you add Boyton Canyon Summit. There is a fellow there -John- who sits on top of the rock formation and plays the flute at 10:30am. As far as our unit, the washer did not work, the dryer had a concerning amount of lint build up behind the wire catch , the disposal did not work, and the cleanliness did not meet acceptable standards. The sink in the bathroom would not drain and they took care of that immediately. We did not understand why things were not up to standard when they had been closed for an extended period of time due to the virus. The adult hot tubs were nice and most people were good about social distancing. Wish they were open past 10:00pm. The grounds are beautiful and well kept. Did not go on the tour. Were upset about the $18 a day resort fee. Especially when you have to pay for the first and last days which you have little time for using any extras. Overall, we enjoyed our trip, but not sure we will stay here again. Too many points, RCI fees, and additional costs for a return visit.

"No social distancing here-could not use pool or hot tub-over crowded whole time"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5

They put up a sign saying “max 6 people in spa” and “stay 6 feet apart”. And “use hot tub for only 15 minutes” but non of the guests care, there were 15 people in that hot tub all night, packed in so tight, and it stayed that way all night, my famihly was unable to use it, walked around the property to see if the other pools/spas were better- nope. All crowded with nobody from the resort asking them to follow the rules. If you have any hopes of staying 6 feet away from strangers and want to use a pool or hot tub - stay away! With COVID is rising in Arizona this hotel just doesn’t care about whether you can safely use the amenities. The room could be cleaner too. And it wasn’t ready a second before the 4 pm check in time.
