"This Was Not Fun!"

There is so much Ripley’s could have done with a Zombie Lazer tag! The zombies could have been more visible, the images were just gross, it was so dark you couldn’t see where to walk, shooting things didn’t even do anything, and there is no reason for the laser guns really. Maybe this place was just starting out? Maybe I just didn’t get it. My 2 boys are 9 & 10 and we thought it would be cool, but it was just a flop of weird, dark and scary.

Tip: If you like gory scary haunted dark houses, this is a thriller for you, but if you like laser tag, this is a no go.

Not worth the money. Hardly any targets to hit. We never encountered the giant zombie at the end. Very disappointed.

"Spooked the girls"

We went on purpose in the afternoon since we had two younger pre-teen girls. They were freaked out, cool effects and would love to do again at night.

I'm a huge fan of haunted attractions. Been to more than 20+ from Niagara Falls, Massachusetts, New Orleans, Vegas, Florida, and now Myrtle Beach. Be aware I'm a fan of makeup and decor more than scare factor. I went in by myself in the afternoon so I didn't feel rushed through by groups. Only negative to that time of day was low staffing, but if you are to go at night they have at least double. I did not realize they gave you a decent size firearm to stun zombies. I'll get back to that.. Had basic feel of haunted attraction, but seemed a bit shorter than I expected. I figured for a name like Ripley's to be on it they'd put a little more $$ into decor, costumes, and makeup. But back to the firearm. I dont get scared by people jumping out at me but when I had to actually shoot the gun to stun them it made it more intense and that along with the fact Amanda and Gypsy did a great job running through whatever hidden doors to keep up with me though the whole attraction. And I'd like to mention the new girl at front desk was very helpful with al y questions. Great location, great employees, but they gotta put some more $$ into it because this place could be amazing with such a great location

I went to this thinking that it was a laser tag game, which it wasn’t. While you did have laser guns for part of going through the building, it was really like a haunted house. And it did scare me. Probably better with several people in a group than just a couple, but laughed at ourselves when we were done.

Ok so I will say that I think preteens and teenagers will love this event and it is very scary. My son liked that he got to use a laser rifle to "shoot" the zombies and monsters. I was too scared too finish because I am a big baby but that just shows that they do a good job. I do wish the guide and been a little more sensitive that I was trying to do this with my son, we were by ourselves and I was incredible scared. She could have helped me get through it for him with just a little bit of nonchalant sensitivity. When I did use the safe though the crew was nice and guided me out with kindness. I won't go back my son will for sure. he loved it.

"Poorly advertised."

The attraction makes it seem like a laser tag shooting competition. Pictures displayed show actors with a laser sensor on them. The guns are there just for show, some of the actors don't even go down once shot at. The guns then get turned in half way through. Very disappointed. We had just went through the zombie zone about a block away, which was fantastic and would highly recommend.

We were not expecting it to be this intense, so it totally exceeded our expectations. I'm bordering on being too old for such amusements, but was hysterically funny and frightening. My teenage daughters were in tears from fear. The characters were engaging until the end. Thank you Amanda, Debra, and Nick(?) for a ghoulish good time!
