"Not bad, but won't stay there again. I like other local Residence Inns better."

Overall, this property is not that bad. The public areas are very well kept and the breakfast is pretty doggone good as long as you don't wait until the last minute (they seem to stop refilling things the later breakfast gets. One day we got there about 20 mins before closure - busier than all get out and they were completely out of bread products - no toast, no bagels, no english muffins, nada and they didn't restock). Can be tricky to get seating when they're busy, but be patient - it doesn't take that long. The selection of food is generally good too - lots of waffle irons if that's your thing. The rooms are in decent shape too, but there is just something about feeling it's age a little bit in the hallways and looking at the doors. It just feels like it could use some sprucing up. Now. The rooms. They offer a "family" suite that at first I thought would be perfect. It advertised as 2 twins in one room and a king in the other bedroom. If you're familiar with Residence Inns, these bedrooms are separated by the common living area with a TV, couch, kitchen area, etc. The problem is there is only one bathroom. This might work really well if you're just two adults with two small children because you're interested in what the small kids are up to. BUT if it's two teenagers (one of which is already 6'1") you're a little more interested in two bathrooms AND normal sized twin beds. The two twins were in a room with no door, the beds seemed undersized, no accessible outlets for electronics, the pillows were not normal firm Marriott pillows...kudos for my "kids" for putting up with this, but one teenager slept every night with his feet hanging off the bed, we had to borrow an extension cord from maintenance to get power to their room, the other kid kept hurting herself because the bed frame wasn't properly positioned with the matress and there were sharp edges poking out from under the mattress (as she walked in the room). Annoyances for sure, not deal breakers, but I'll never book that again for grown kids. Would have been fine for small kids. Now, the noise. We were fortunate to not be disturbed by guests - and there were several high school aged groups staying in the hotel at the same time...but the noise from I-4 behind the hotel was quite unpleasant. All hours. If you can, try to request a room that overlooks the front of the hotel rather than the back. Middle of the night it's people riding very noisy motorcycles and in the morning, it's just normal commuting noise. Annoying, but not a reason to not choose the location. Just try to be picky about room location if you do stay here.

We had a group stay here in September three days before a cruise and two days after the cruise, before the cruise everything was great the staff let us use a meeting room where we had a dinner for our September birthdays, the rooms were comfortable, this location is close to a lot of things I believe we were at 10-15 minute ride from Disney we went to animal Kingdom some other people in our group did all the Disney parks and found the location fine. The only problem we had after the cruise was one of the two bedroom rooms had little bitty ants I don’t know if it was because it was a lower floor but I would pick high floors from now on. This location is great if you have a car there is nothing in walking distance which we thought it would be, a few people in the group did not rent cars and had to depend on other people to take them around. Residence Inn is a nice hotel to stay when you have a group they loved the free breakfast.

My family and I were booked to stay at this hotel the first week of December for a family wedding. However I was notified this week that we were moved to another hotel due to an incident in the hotel dealing with the pipe damage. I reached out to Mikalla Tillman, who's the Sales Coordinator and she was amazing. She was very attentive to my needs and even moved us to a 3 bedroom suite at a 4-star resort fully paid for! She even included breakfast for us and made sure that we didnt have to lift a finger before our arrival. This is why Marriott will continue to have my business. Even though I'm not staying at this location due to the incident at the site, they always make sure their customers are well taken care of. Mikalla your managers should be looking to promote you for sure! Thanks again for the help. We greatly appreciate it! - Charles Fletcher
