Tip: You will need a car because even though there was local transportation near the hotel, the bus service is slow especially on the weekends

"Great Location, Clean Rooms, and Friendly Staff"
October 2018
Nice clean rooms, friendly and helpful staff, big screen tv's, and literally minutes away from the major destinations, gas stations, and even a Walmart in case you need travel supplies. Even has a kiddie pool and small play ground for them as well. We felt safe and comfortable during our stay, which is very important for my family. Will definitely use this hotel again for our next vacation.

"A grand surprise"
March 2018
When we first checked in, we didnt understand why there were so few cars out front (we were then concerned for the quality of the room). It was to our surprise that this place was so big! We were in building #12, along our walk we passed not one, but two pools (shaped like mickey mouse's ears). There was also a heated toddler pool and volleyball. The rooms were standard and clean. The breakfast was extra but not by much. The cooks were very friendly the entire visit. The man who checked us in was very helpful as well. We noticed how they all worked together to clean tables, like they enjoyed their job. One guest gave us a toy scooter for our 1yr old son (they said they had no room to take it back home) and the morning breakfast clerk went out of his way to grab a spray bottle and towel to wipe it down clean for our son to enjoy. Very friendly place! They have a gift shop and fine art inside

"Good hotel for price"
March 2018
Clean, friendly staff, big hotel with 3 pools, good amount space in room.
All I would recommend is maybe milder cleaning detergents because they were very strong smelling. And I don't think you can do much about the light by the sink...that was annoying at night. I wish there was an option to turn it off.

"Summer trip 2016"
July 2016
The hotel was clean and the staff was friendly. We were going into Universal for a few days and needed a close hotel. The hotel does provide a shuttle, but only once in the morning and once in the evening. Both times are after the park opens and before it closes. There was a $15 per person fee going to Universal but free going to the Magic Kingdom. We used Uber both days so that we could come and go as we pleased.

"Not a Bad Hotel, Customer Service Sucks"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5

First off rooms were not bad, no bugs and as clean as an older motel can get. Beds were comfortable and there was a large mini-fridge. Now we move on to the problems, basic customer service. This resort stated they would obtain 3rd party ground transportation for airport transfer. After arriving at the airport I called the hotel directly, the individual who answered did not give his name and told me they don't do that and I should find my own ground transportation, then hung up. No help there and I considered that a bit rude. I'm not a local and have never been to this airport before, lucky I did have back up in the form of a ride in the bed of a pickup. We were at the hotel quite early, so even with reservations, I wasn't surprised to be told by the lady at the front desk (no name tag) no clean rooms were available yet. No problem, understood completely. The 5 of us with our all our luggage sat down to wait in the front lobby with a clear view of the desk. Two hours later one of our group noticed people getting room keys. I went to the desk to ask about a room and she said yes they were ready. Disappointed they didn't come to us. Very upset about the lack of help on the phone and in person. To me this is an epic fail. Employees need more customer service training, lack of these skills is obvious, especially by the two employees arguing at the front desk. Not a pleasant end to our vacation. Would not recommend due to lack of customer service and ground transportation.

Great location of the hotel. The facilities and rooms need some serious renovation. Great staff except for front desk employees which is a shame as this is 'first impression' you have of the facility. We have arrived in the middle of the night and have been welcomed by rather grumpy staff member. When asking some other time for the medical help, we were basically sent away with staff telling us 'do not bother us with such issues'. I have never experienced something like that in any hotel in the world when the urgent medical assistance was required! I would not stay in this hotel again.

"Untrustworthy"

My family prepaid for a week stay in January. Upon check-in, we were advised that ownership of the hotel changed hands in Dec. 2019. They would not recognize our reservation, and had to repay for our stay. Attempts to get a refund from both the old and new owners has been futile. They will not even return text’s or calls. I don’t recommend this hotel, or any owned by Carter Hospitality. The epitome of bad business practices.

"Great place to relax while amussement parks go crazy"

Great place where we have enjoyed the good location, excellent rooms and good additions, like pools, fitness, ice machines, laundry room, etc. It was good in August 2017 and again now in February 2020. Some areas are being refurbished, and I hope this is to limit running costs, so that the reasonable pricing can be kept.
