"Tour was amazing and the tour guide was the best!"
May 2019
The tour was rather entertaining and I loved every minute of it but I have to give a HUGE shout out to our tour guide, Kona. Being a native of Hawaii, he made the tour just amazing! He showed how amazing his people can be and if anything, my wife and I just fell in love with him in general. We were newly weds on this trip and we felt blessed to have Kona as a tour guide and he made this tour that much better! I have nothing bit good things to say about him and anyone who gets him as a tour is in for a fantastic voyage! Kona, Steve and Karina say thank you once again and we thank you for the fantastic memories of Hawaii!

"Best Ever!"
March 2018
This is the best tour. Pearl Harbor was a good experience. Our tour guide, cousin K, was the best with information. The Polinesian Center was top quality. Top quality food also. We needed a little more time to shop at the Dole Pineapple gift shop, but that probably saved me $ I would have spent shopping longer. Sm sooooo glad I picked this tour.

Zero Stars!!! We made reservations with this company for a much anticipated trip to celebrate a college graduation. I made the reservations well in advance and then came the Corona Virus. We were forced to cancel our reservations because of the pandemic. I was assured that we would receive a refund for our tour but that they would have to wait to see if we could receive a refund for the air fare. I was instructed to call back two weeks later to confirm. When I did this the representative stated that I WOULD be receiving a full refund including air fare and it would be in my account within 30 days. After this time passed and I didn't receive the refund I called back. They tried to say they could not find my name or reservation in the system. They said I must have made my reservation with 'Aloha Sunshine Tours' instead of Discover Hawaii Tours. I then went back to my confirmation email and typed in Aloha Sunshine Tours to go to the website, low and behold it took me to Discover Hawaii Tours. A little sketchy for sure!. I was able to find a phone number for Aloha Sunshine Tours and left multiple voice mails and messages with the answering service and they said they would have the manager call me return call. When I called the number again (probably for the 30th time) the number went to Discover Hawaii Tours and the representative again said that he could not find my name or confirmation number. I asked him why the number I called would ring at a different business and he said that they were all out of the office and may have forwarded calls to him. I explained to him what my issue was and he instructed me to call my bank and try to get my money back that way. That is what I did and after investigation my bank said they were told that this company does not offer any refunds. Needless to say I lost $1400.00 that could be spent on many other things, simply due to a pandemic and a bogus company. Do not book with these people!

This was our 2nd time on the Waikele outlet buses and not impressed! It seems this time the drivers were family members of the owners....didn’t explain anything on the way there re the destination passports (which passengers are entitled to for extra discounts) to the passengers who had never been before and when dropped off just said pick up here. Then on way back just dropped us off in Waikiki and when asked why not dropping us off where we were picked up from said need to get another shuttle. In the bus the driver said he couldn’t wait to get to the beach and I guess that was more important than dropping us at our destination which is pretty bad service.

Tour was ok our tour guide was good very knowledgeable on the Hawaiian history which was interesting. We booked with Discover Hawaii tours but ended up with Aloha Sunshine Tours I am guessing there is some relationship between them. There was a lot of points on the trip which I thought we were stopping at but just drove by like Haleiwa Town etc. I think the idea was for us to have lunch there but as there was only 3 people on our tour we were running ahead of time so we’re there early but I thought we may have still stopped for a look about the town and shops. We had lunch at Waimea falls as had some time but didn’t realise that we could have had lunch at the north shore food trucks if we knew they were still to come. But drove past. Overall I think the excellent knowledge of the driver with the history of each area was really good.
