"Conqured the island of Maui thanks to Polynesian Adventure Tours"

We joined the tour called "Road to Hana" . The weather was not perfect, raining hard in the morning and too cold to swim throughtout the day, but we still had a great day with Polynesian Adventure Tours. We were picked up almost on time(6 am in the morning!) by a friendly man named Gen. He is originally from Japan where we come from. We enjoyed chatting with him for about an hour to the starting place of the tour. We were then introduced to our guide for the day, Mr. Wayne. He was full of information. My husband and I are actually English-speaking tour guides in Japan, so we were impressed how much information he gave to his guests all day(there was almost no time he wasn't talking while we were driving). He made frequent stops for bathrooms and gave us a lot of opportunities to take photos. We came back in one piece from the jungles of Maui thanks to his safe drive. All the places were very beautiful even in the rain. The car was clean with big windows. We did the west side of Maui on our own in our rented car, but we wouldn't have been able to do the west side by ourselves for sure. The roads are too narrow with a lot of cliffs. We would like to thank Wayne to take us to the deep inside of Maui. Mahalo!

This was awful. They should have cancelled. The weather was a full-on tropical storm at the parking lot (too dangerous to go to the top) with wind gusts of 50mph, sustained winds of 30mph (no exaggeration- these numbers are from the park ranger), freezing rain falling horizontally feeling like needles hitting you in the face. We were the only tour group stupid/greedy enough to make this trip, the parking lot was completely empty. We saw nothing, visibility was maybe 100 yards. I called beforehand to see if it was going to be cancelled and the answer was no only if the weather is too dangerous. That is a pretty low threshold if you ask me. The driver was incompetent, barely spoke English, didn’t know where the restaurant was, when we got there it was pretty much a cafeteria with table service. Our family took an Uber back to the hotel, as did others in our group. A very bad Christmas memory, except of course that we were in Maui.

"Maui to Oahu: Pearl Harbor, Arizona Memorial, USS Missouri Tour"

Tour guide was very good. The tour info did not inform us beforehand that the final 2 hours of the tour are "on your own" in Waikiki. That's OK for anyone who would want that much time in Waikiki, but we would rather have had another hour at Pearl Harbor and at least another 30 minutes at the USS Missouri. The coach was very comfortable and we had a small group (6 total), so it was a very pleasant day.

Larry could NOT have been more authentic and passionate about sharing his love and knowledge of Hawaii and building a sense of community among his bus passengers. The trip itself is quite enjoyable but Larry made it OVER THE TOP enjoyable, interesting and memorable. *we had pick-up and drop-off so I am not clear on the parking situation.
