"Awesome experience!!"
September 2019
We took our grand daughters and we ALL had a blast! Our youngest is a homebody at age six, so it was a hard sell to convince her to go. The older one, age 9, is always up for an adventure. We went to the perches and they got to hold some birds. This was fun, but you are supposed to wait for a worker to hand you a bird. There didn’t seem to be enough workers for the crowd. Of course, this was Labor Day weekend, so they may not have anticipated the amount of people. It was still fun. Next, we walked through and looked at the beautiful birds in cages. That was fun because many interacted with us. We also went to the Lory. That was our favorite! The girls loved the birds flying to them and landing on their arms and heads to drink the delicious nectar. My husband and I also enjoyed the experience!! The gardens were beautiful and well kept and the Prayer Garden was beautiful! We would definitely do it again. The one thing I would suggest is to have more child-oriented toys in the gift shop. Bathrooms were clean and well-maintained. The food was reasonably priced and delicious.

Tip: Park at the top. If we had had to park at the foot of the mountain and walked up, I would have never made it!! ??

This was our first trip to parrot mountain and will not be our last. Had a great time. The birds were amazing. I loved getting to hold them and feed them. The staff were very friendly. This is a great place to bring kids, but adults love it too.

Tip: It is a little steep in walking around. But so worth it if you can manage. Also, they have golf carts to rent, if you can't get around good.
