It's a perfect way to see the La Jolla Cove and Sea Caves on a kayak for two. We visited in August when it was Leopard Shark season and rented snorkel gear after our kayak tour to take advantage of one of the top ten snorkeling spots in the world.

Description

from Original La Jolla Kayak Tour
Explore the Seven Sea Caves and kayak through three of the four microhabitats present in the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. You’ll watch sea lions sunbathing on the rocks and swimming in the sanctuary. Bright orange garibaldi standout among the vibrant green sea grass and numerous other fish swim around delighting the eye. You might even see dolphins cruising alongside your kayak before you make your way back and prepare to surf your kayak back to shore. Throughout the summer months, you’ll see the biggest Leopard Shark Aggregation in the world. In the winter, witness Gray Whales on their annual migration from Alaska to Baja California. Memorable experiences await you. Entry into Emerald Cave depends upon the safety of the conditions and is just one small part of this amazing tour. Regardless of entering or not, you'll have a great time!

Tour runs every day of the year (EXCEPT Christmas day and the 4th of July) as long as conditions permit/safety.

"Beautiful!"

Absolutely gorgeous kayaking in the pacific to La Jolla caves! Our guide, Abby, was fun and very informative. We were able to go into one of the caves, see plenty of fish, kayak up close to seals and learn a lot of interesting information about that area of La Jolla. One of my favorite parts of our week long vacation in Southern California.

We had an amazing time with Danielle on the kayak and snorkel tour. It gave us the best of both adventures and packed so much into a 2hr tour. It was just enough time to see what we wanted and not completely exhaust ourselves. The shop is great and allows you to rent s wetsuit and store your items there in their lockers for a small fee. All of the staff were super friendly and helpful. They made sure we felt safe and had fun the whole time! I would highly recommend this company for anyone wanting to explore the La Jolla caves area via water.

This was a great adventure! The four of us have never been kayaking, it was easier than I expected, and really fun. Our guides Tony and Mike were very helpful and knowledgeable, and made it a great trip! We learned about the history of the area, saw the sea caves and sea lions and had great views! Kudos! We'll do this again. PS - You will get wet!!

We took a kayak tour of the cove and Emerald Cave with Everyday California. They were very organized at the location and gave good directions. It would be helpful if they had a locker room with a shower where you could clean up and change. The guide and others did a great job of explaining and helping us with our equipment!! We had a first-time kayaker that did quite well with the provided instruction before leaving the beach. We had only been kayaking a couple of times in a lake, and had no trouble at all. Everyone had a great time and I wouldn't not hesitate to do it again!!!
