It's a perfect way to see the La Jolla Cove and Sea Caves on a kayak for two. We visited in August when it was Leopard Shark season and rented snorkel gear after our kayak tour to take advantage of one of the top ten snorkeling spots in the world.

Description

from Original La Jolla Kayak Tour
Explore the Seven Sea Caves and kayak through three of the four microhabitats present in the La Jolla Ecological Reserve. You’ll watch sea lions sunbathing on the rocks and swimming in the sanctuary. Bright orange garibaldi standout among the vibrant green sea grass and numerous other fish swim around delighting the eye. You might even see dolphins cruising alongside your kayak before you make your way back and prepare to surf your kayak back to shore. Throughout the summer months, you’ll see the biggest Leopard Shark Aggregation in the world. In the winter, witness Gray Whales on their annual migration from Alaska to Baja California. Memorable experiences await you. Entry into Emerald Cave depends upon the safety of the conditions and is just one small part of this amazing tour. Regardless of entering or not, you'll have a great time!

Tour runs every day of the year (EXCEPT Christmas day and the 4th of July) as long as conditions permit/safety.

"Beautiful!"

Absolutely gorgeous kayaking in the pacific to La Jolla caves! Our guide, Abby, was fun and very informative. We were able to go into one of the caves, see plenty of fish, kayak up close to seals and learn a lot of interesting information about that area of La Jolla. One of my favorite parts of our week long vacation in Southern California.

Tip: Parking is very limited so get there early! Worth the money to rent the wetsuits!

We are experienced kayakers but were unprepared for how amazing this experience would be! Our guides Josh and Pete were professional, informative and loads of fun. They clearly love their jobs and were passionate about sharing their love of the water with us, pointing out a sea turtle, sand dollars on the seabed and even a harbour seal and her pup. We had the amazing fun of kayaking into the sea caves - simply incredible!!! This was really a magical experience for us - can’t say enough good about it!!

I booked a kayak with whales tour for 1 thru Airbnb. We saw a whale literally within 5 minutes of being in the water. Saw tons of playful sea lions too and it was great being out on the water. Danielle was our guide (I kayaked with her because I was slightly nervous) and she was great. She’s very knowledgeable and her enthusiasm and excitement was contagious! Highly recommend this company

"Great Last Minute Activity!"

In town for business travel and decided to book this tour for business travel after searching for outdoor activities in San Diego. Had a terrific tour led by Tiffany at Everyday California. She was enthusiastic and knowledgeable about the ocean, marine life, and surrounding sea cliffs and saves. While on the tour (late afternoon/low tide), we saw tiger sharks, colorful fish, seals, and a variety of sea birds, as well as being able to enter the sea caves. Everything was well-organized with quality gear and available lockers (for rent) to store valuables. Three items that guests should be aware of when planning for this tour: (1) you will likely be soaked from the waist-down, but dry from the waist-up; (2) if you opt to wear your shoes down to the beach, there is no place to secure them and you will have to leave them out in public for about 1.5 hours (though it was notable (and a relief) that all of ours were still there when we came back); and (3) there is no foot wash available at the store when you return, so bring a towel to wipe your sandy feet off.
