Our stay was awesome. The price was great, and staff friendly and helpful. Would've loved to seen a gator in the pond . But it is the best we've stayed in so far.

"Overall a very nice stay!!"
April 2019
We booked the 2 bedroom condo and overall it was a very nice stay! Everyone seemed nice also. The only complaint we had was one diamond tile was sticking up more than the rest of the floor and our 6 yr old tripped over it and the air was programmed or something bc it wouldn’t get below 74. Other than those 2 things it was nice!

This resort was very good to stay at. The only drawback was that there was no shuttle to take us to and from the resort.

"Had a fantastic time!"
August 2018
Our family thoroughly enjoyed our stay at mystic dunes resort. We had plenty of room for everyone to be out of each others hair and relax. There is so much to do! It's a great value for the money. You get plenty of bang for your buck! The staff was very helpful and friendly as well. We will definitely plan another stay in the future.

"Great Vacation, Great Resort"

We were driving to Florida at the start of the USA Covid-19 invasion,. We (2 adults and 3 kids, 12, 7, and 4) were planning on spending a day or 2 at Disney and they had just announced that they would be closing on Monday the 16th. We were arriving on the 14th. Long story short, we had to change our plans day by day. We ended up driving straight to the park to spend a little bit of time at Disney before the shutdown and ended up checking in to the resort after 10pm. Check in was quick and smooth; only took 5 minutes. We easily found our building. and started getting settled in our 2 bedroom unit. We did have our own vehicle so we did not have to rely on the resort to shuttle us. The accommodations were attractive, spacious, comfortable. We had plenty of room and never felt crowded. The pools were wonderful, heated, and there were plenty of lounge chairs. We visited 2 of the 4 pools. The staff was friendly, accommodating, and informative. Resort was beautiful. If we had more time, we would have gone on more walks. The recreation was great. We played tennis, ping pong, and miniature golf. The miniature golf course was a hit for our whole family. Our only regret was that we didn't have more time to stay at Mystic Dunes. We will definitely look to stay at this resort again the next time we go to Orlando.

"ROACHES( that’s it, that’s the title)"

It hurts me to write this review since my family and I have stayed here before for vacations, but I have to after this recent experience. My family and I had planned a nice week long vacation at this resort. We saw that it was a five star resort and thought we would be in for a treat. Boy were we wrong. We arrived to check in and were put in a room in a newly renovated building, which was great, but the nightmare was just beginning. Firstly, they try to get you to go to this “Luau” thing on the golf course, but don’t tell you it’s $50 per person. We arrived on a Saturday, so we got settled in and went to the store on Sunday for food. We got back explored a little and made plans for what we were going to do that Monday the 16th. We woke up Monday morning and started cooking, and roaches started coming out the cabinets! It was small and big roaches. Just disgusting. It was a big surprise to us seeing that this is a five star resort. It wasn’t just one roach, it was the whole family. We discovered that the cabinet has holes in them at the top, not sure if that’s how they got in. We also found a baby roach in the bathroom, and two roaches in the second bedroom. Very dirty. The rooms also had a problem where the carpet was not fully touching the baseboards, another potential entryway for bugs. We went down to the check in area later that day and informed the receptionist of this problem and they didn’t even act surprised! There was no “oh I’m sorry this happened” or “ let’s get y’all moved immediately”, instead we were met with two receptionist that didn’t have a clue what they were doing. That’s another thing, everyone at mystic dunes tells you something different, but that’s a different review. Anyway, the receptionist had to call over “backup” and the lady came over with a slight attitude. Basically telling us that since we were booked on a 4 day 3 night, that we could move out of the roach room, go to another room, and instead of staying in the 2nd room, we’d have to move AGAIN to a 3rd room. Like NO. You need to do better with accommodating your guests. It was such an inconvenience to move that many times. Oh and then the guy they sent up to the room to “spray” for the roaches was laughable. He came in with a HANDHELD bottle of some concoction and sprayed maybe 3 times, said he would be back in an hour, and left. Which he lied about because we were still there after an hour but whatever. Apparently he came back though because when we got back from dinner the cabinets were open and stuff was moved like he had sprayed. Then it got worse. We woke up on Wednesday officially in the correct room, and made breakfast. Another thing also was that the furniture was very dirty/dusty. I mean during this virus pandemic you would think they would take the time to wipe down the wood tables and cabinets. All in all this isn’t the mystic dunes we remember. This resort has gone down and is in need of a saving. Also they need more elevators in their buildings. 6 floors, 2 elevators. Also, the guys riding around in the carts should not take up parking spots that guests need to use. If you decide to stay here check everything before you bring your bags up. Check the cabinets, the baseboards, anywhere roaches like to be at, because I guarantee our room wasn’t the only one with roaches. Very unacceptable for a five star resort :(.

The only thing missing were hot tubs in the three pools. Grounds were clean and efficiently run. Tour guide named Amy was terrific! She took us to Planet Hollywood at Disney Springs for a fantastic meal.

My family and I visited the resort this past weekend Friday the 13th to Sunday March 15 and stayed in building 29 right across from the pool. There are so many things to do at the resort if you don’t want to leave the property. Very kid friendly resort. The only issue we had is on the second night Saturday the 14th our room keys stopped working and were trying to call front desk to see if someone could let us in. Fortunately Joshua the security guard was walking around the building picking up trash bags and helped us get into our unit. He told us that our keys were expired and said he would go get us new keys and make sure they would work. He saved us the trouble from carrying the kids back down to the car to go to the front desk. Thank you Mystic Dunes for the great weekend experience and security Joshua from saving us the trouble. Resort recommended!!!!!
