Really neat atmosphere! It is a large resort, so expect some walking. The staff was excellent all around, very helpful. Our room was large, we stayed in a one bedroom suite. We can't wait for an opportunity to come back!

"Presidential Suite "

My wife and I recently stayed at the MIH at the Island in Pigeon Forge - Presidential Suite P284. The room was spacious, comfortable, and very clean. It is a great place to stay for the sake of convenience. Paula Deans restaurant, many stores and attractions are within easy walking distance. The only negative comments I have about the room is it faces the road and at times during the night was rather loud. I realize that is not the hotels fault. And, there is a bright balcony light that cannot be shut off during the night. I do understand it is also used to highlight the front of the property. It would be nice to have a map of the hotel on their website allowing you to see exactly where your room is before you book. Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Certainly will stay there again.

First, the lobby is cute. Second, the staff is nice and accommodating. Now for the room... Our first room was very dirty. We called to have our comforter top changed because of stains. Then we noticed the hairs in the tub, sink, and floor of bathroom. We called to be moved to a new room. We were moved to a room that was cleaned again. Then our shower did not work in that room. Would we stay here again? No. We weren’t offered any type of discount or refund. Just we are sorry.

"Outstanding hotel but wear your masks!"

Incredible hotel in a very fun area! Only thing is they don't enforce the mask policy at all which is very disappointing. Otherwise, my stay was so wonderful and I especially have to give Sammi {(spelling?) at the front desk Monday morning/afternoon 10/5 the lady who checked me out} 10 out of 10 STARS. She was an absolute joy and so knowledgeable and helpful. If everyone took their job as seriously as she does the world would be a better place! My room and the hotel itself was sparkling and extremely clean. Only drawbacks: - Everything shut down at 10 PM which is ridiculous. - The area is a Covid breeding ground because you have arrogant idiots with zero social distancing and no masks. For that reason I couldn't wait to leave. Will be better to visit afterwards. I felt the hotel and my room was very sanitized however. - Some of the staff were not as friendly as the others but the ones that were are amazing at their jobs! And, a few staff members did not wear face masks which totally defeats the purpose. One saying it was a personal choice if he got sick. I sure hope he doesn't expect medical treatment if he does. Sorry, not sorry! - Parking is a pain

"Beautiful Hotel, but many tourists and FEW Covid precautions, so bring your best masks!"

PROS: BEAUTIFUL room! Stayed in the riverview jacuzzi suite, and enjoyed the layout and calming room decor. However, our porch was across from a commercial building, which was not very exciting for me. After having read other reviews, I was hoping to have been placed in a riverview room closer to the bridge for a better view. Every staff member I encountered was very polite and hospitable. Overall, I loved the idea behind "the island" and wish I could've stayed longer and under more ideal conditions. CONS: Hotel room floor appeared clean but was actually dirty, as though it had not been thoroughly swept, mopped, or cleaned prior to my stay. I wore a brand new, never before used pair of house shoes for one night in my room, and the soles were black by the next morning. There were also ants on the floor, which is why I decided to pull out my house shoes. Additionally, contrary to the eloquentlly written letter to guests, reminding you of the local mask mandate, many staff and guests did not have masks on, even in the front lobby area. During check-in, a valet guy continously coughed, which led me to notice he, and others, was in the lobby without a mask on. That did make me hesitant to use the valet and skeptical of the COVID prevention measures being taken at the hotel. I would think the hotel staff would at least make a good 1st impression by having masks on in the lobby areas.

"Great, well run clean hotel. Amazing staff."

Stepped outside my Marriott lifetime platinum comfort zone and booked a three night stay here recently. Could not be happier with the choice. Booked a presidential fountain view suite. A few nights before my stay the hotel team emailed me to let me know the fountains would be off during the time I was staying there. A few things: 1) This isn't common so if you have the chance to book the presidential fountain view suite you should not hesitate to do so. It was just routine maintenance taking place. 2) The fountains are not operated by the hotel so it was not their fault. 3) How great is it they went out of their way to let me know this would be happening? I will admit when I heard the news I was on the fence, but Renie with the hotel who contacted me could not have done a better job of handling the situation and letting me know it was still a great room at a great property. She was right! Every single person who works here that I encountered from arrival to departure was top notch. Over the top helpful friendly folks. Coffee in the shop on site was great. Room was spotless. I used the fitness center several times during my stay and it was also very clean. Bar areas on roof and adjacent to lobby both exceptional. Room was huge and great for people watching. When you stay here you do not need to leave the island it has everything you could possibly want however if you do plan on leaving go with valet parking as its worth it because of how busy the parking lots can get. Vending machines with snacks and drinks are plentiful throughout the large resort if you need anything during off hours. Top notch operation, book your room here and you will love it.
