An artful blend of mountain latitude and island attitude, the 134-room Margaritaville Island Hotel is the perfect setting to escape the everyday, discover a new outlook and just chill. Inspired by the lyrics and lifestyle of singer, songwriter and author, Jimmy Buffett, the newest Margaritaville Hotel brings a fresh perspective to the Great Smoky Mountain experience with its easy-going, laid-back style and serious approach to genuine Southern hospitality.

Located in The Island entertainment complex just off the Pigeon Forge Parkway, the hotel appeals to fans of the active outdoor lifestyle as well as those who just want to kick back and relax. Fireplaces, private balconies and spacious walk-in showers with dual “rain shower” fixtures are a few of the many upgraded guestroom amenities. A distinctive Margaritaville touch is the “Frozen Concoction Maker,” available in every room for creating and experimenting with the margarita and boat drink recipes provided.

Guests can grab a quick to-go breakfast at the Margaritaville Coffee Shop before heading out for a day of outdoor activities in the mountains, take advantage of the area’s great shopping and attractions or simply relax at the hotel’s roof-top pool and bar. Evenings are as easy as cocktails in the “Changes In Latitude” bar followed by dinner at Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville or one of the many onsite-dining options at The Island.

Really neat atmosphere! It is a large resort, so expect some walking. The staff was excellent all around, very helpful. Our room was large, we stayed in a one bedroom suite. We can't wait for an opportunity to come back!

"The Place to Stay in Pigeon Forge"

We have stayed many places while in Pigeon Forge and this is it! So close to anything you need. Loved the heated roof top pool and over looking the fountains. Everything was clean and well maintained. Even enjoyed taking advantage of the Spa. Only negative thing I could say is it needs better mattresses. But thank you for a great stay!

"Great weekend getaway with friends"

My wife and I were joining her sister and one other for a weekend getaway. They had already made reservations and stayed at the one in Gatlinburg. First, there are two in Pigeon Forge with similar names. One is the Inn and one is the HOTEL. I made the mistake of booking at the inn. When I checked, the hotel (this one) was booked, but they were waiting on a verification from one guest. We waited around for about two hours. The guest cancelled, so they contacted me. I was able to cancel my reservation at the inn and stay at this hotel with our family. I found this to be very accommodating. The hotel is somewhat unique in that the rooms are all on the second floor, while the first floor consist of shopping. It seems somewhat like a maze and takes a little getting used to navigating. Our room had the river view, it was very spacious. It even included a gas fireplace. This was very nice in the mornings since we were there in March and it was a little cool in the mornings. The shower was a large walk-in stone shower with two head. There is plenty to do in and around the hotel, all within walking distance. We really enjoyed our stay and would stay here again if we were back in the area.

"No housekeeping during stay"
TripAdvisor user rating 2 out of 5
Reviewed May 11, 2019 NEW
The room was a nice size but this hotel doesn't live up to the hype. We stayed two nights and after returning to the room after a long day of hiking, the room hadn't been cleaned and no clean towels. I called the front desk and was told " I'll let housekeeping know." I took that to mean someone would come to clean the room. I waited in the room for an hour and no one showed up. The next morning I called the front desk and asked for 2 towels and some coffee pods. That was delivered promptly. This place is fine if you're traveling with kids and like to walk a lot. I like the exercise but some might not want to have to walk a long distance to their rooms and the parking area.

"Music in the Mountains Parade"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

Enjoyed the parade last year, anxious to see it again. Checked into Margaritaville Hotel, left the car with the valets. Parade on the Parkway is walking distance from the hotel. I had a Village View room, all rooms have a private balcony. The room is great with a kitchenette area, plenty of towels, warm comfortable beds. The Island in Pigeon Forge offers all of the amenities for a vacation. Dining, shops and entertainment.

My husband & I stayed last night May, 7th so we could attend a free concert at The Island. It was way beyond anything we expected. From making reservations with a sweet Cindy to Every employee we came across. We're local and plan on returning soon. Awesome pool on roof, room was very large with to many details to name, staff were beyond helpful and polite. I am a clean freak & I can say it was spotless!! Thanks for a great 1 night Staycation!!!
