"Nice Hotel - but missing some basics"
October 2018
First of all - This hotel was sold out on every other website and direct, so a BIG thanks for Reserve Orlando. The good: friendly staff, cute themeing, good free breakfast, includes premium parking for the park. The bad: the pool closes in the middle of the day 12-4pm and no daily housekeeping service with minimum stays. We would stay again when we visit Legoland because the price was a good value.

Tip: good breakfast, pool closes midday, free premium parking for legoland.

Tip: The conveniences of a hotel are lacking a bit at the beach retreat, but it was nothing that affected our trip in a negative way.

We had the best time at LEGOLAND and at the beach retreat. There’s something for everyone at both the park and hotel. We highly recommend this to any family. It will be worth every dollar spent. We can’t wait to come back next year and do it again.

We stayed here for the 1st time. I chose the beach retreat over the hotel only because it was cheaper. Check out my pictures to see what it is like. Had a great free breakfast. Pool was cool. Nice play areas. They have a s’mores pit but we didn’t have time to to use it. This was a great place to stay also includes free shuttle to park or a parking pass to use at the park so you don’t have to pay.

"Ok option for legoland"

Stayed here for 2 nights with my wife, 5 year old and 1 year old from May 3-5, 2019. This is not a luxury resort. It is geared towards families with young kids planning to spend time at Legoland. Check-in was pretty cool. You drive up to a booth where they give you a key and explain the layout of the property to you. Then you park (for free) and walk up to your bungalow. Each bungalow is divided into two rooms which are fairly soundproof. Previous reviews are correct in that the rooms are on the smaller side. We stayed in 1108 which had a king sized bed with a small side room containing 2 bunk-beds. The room with the bunk-beds was separated from the main bedroom by a curtain. We had requested a crib prior to arrival, however they only had playpens which was good enough for our 1 year old. The room is definitely on the smaller side. Our room and bathroom were clean. There was a wire over the bathtub for drying clothes. I felt that the shower and toilet pressure were weak. The room could probably use a coffeemaker and the refrigerator had nice space but was too cold - it kept freezing our 1 year old's milk. Housekeeping was excellent and very thorough. The "bungalows" are organized into small groups in a circular fashion around a small play ground (absent slides). That way you can hang out in your room/porch and still be able to watch your kids play. A short walk from our room was a "common area" containing the restaurant, a bar, a small gift shop, and a lego/sand castle area for the kids. The food in the main restaurant was fine, but if you want to order out then they try to have you order food from the bar which has a limited menu. My recommendation to the resort is to allow your guests to order off the main menu in the restaurant as well. The restaurant closed at 9, and the bar closed at 10. Breakfast buffet is included in the stay and is surprisingly good. I would recommend getting to the breakfast before 8:30 to avoid long lines. Outside the "common area" is a pool, with a sand beach, and play ground. The pool is supposedly heated but didn't feel that warm to me - maybe in the 80 degree range. But towels are supplied and there are plenty of lifeguards watching over the pool. Next to the pool is a fire-pit where you can roast your s'mores at night. I definitely recommend paying for the s'mores amenity - they give you plenty of supplies. In summary, this stay was just ok for us. The beach resort is across the street from Legoland so it's very convenient. The room is nothing to write home about, but you are paying for proximity to Legoland. Next time we will likely stay at the Legoland Hotel which is essentially connected to park.

"Underwhelmed"

We stayed here for a weekend, and were plainly underwhelmed. The rooms were small, there were about 2 dozen dupo blocks in the room (my 3rd grader was highly disappointed in that), and there was 1 chair for the room. Thankfully the small patio has a table and chairs (we would take the chairs inside so everyone was not sitting on the main bed). The table was okay for eating things that we picked up when we got rained out of the park. However, the outside furniture needs to be cleaned more often, and the patio is not the nicest place to sit and be when it is raining outside as the wind blows the rain under the roof. It is nice that the property has little playgrounds in the middle of the "coves" but they are primarily just walking playgrounds with a tightwire, set of stairs, balance beam, rope ladder, rock wall, and rope bridge. No slides or things that kids really like. The pool was cold, so much so that it made my toddler shiver. It is also really small and shallow. The evening activities start around 8, which is fun but a little late if you have little kids. The good aspects - the rooms are nicely soundproof when you are inside them (though anyone walking by the room can hear your kids shrieking on the outside). The windows all come with shades and curtains. There are two closet areas, each with 5 hangers. There is a clothesline in the shower. You get free parking at the legoland park. Hoursekeeping comes daily (the website is not updated to reflect this). If the price is close to the actual legoland hotel, I would recommend going to the onsite property. Otherwise, there are a number of close hotels with bigger rooms, better food,

"Wonderful Experience!"

We just returned from a one night stay and I wish we could have stayed longer. The room was very clean and having complimentary water and apple juice boxes was a nice touch. I found the staff to be warm, friendly and very helpful as well as engaging with my 4 year old daughter. The pool area is great and the activities for the kids were fun. The dinner was nothing spectacular but it's hotel food, I didn't expect 5 star dining. The complimentary breakfast buffet was surprisingly good with a huge variety of food for everyone. I found it to be a great value and we will certainly return!
