from Lake Mead Lunch Cruise Hoover Dam Tour
The Hoover Dam is a must-do adventure in the West!

You’ll get to see the Dam and Memorial Bridge from another stunning viewpoint: down below as you climb aboard the Desert Princess Lake Mead boat! So, sit back, relax, and enjoy an absolute adventure! We begin our day with a prompt pickup at 8:00 am from your hotel in our luxurious Mercedes Sprinter that’s fully loaded with all of your road tripping needs. Amenities include USB charging ports, tinted windows for climate control, complimentary WiFi, and so much more! From here, our first Instagram-worthy picture awaits at the iconic Welcome to Fabulous Las Vegas sign where you will be able to soak in the city’s iconic history that will be sure to make a vintage Vegas showgirl jealous.

Once you have your pictures ready for upload, your tour continues with a short drive to the historic Hoover Dam. Your guide will walk with you across both sides of the Hoover Dam pointing out extraordinary stories of how it was built and how it operates today. An extra added bonus will be a visit to the Old Exhibit Building where you can see many artifacts and photos that have been preserved for hundreds of years!

Next, your professional and friendly tour guide will take you to the Mike O’Callaghan-Pat Tillman Memorial Bridge for another photo opportunity to see it up close and personal. You’ll even have the chance to walk the bridge. Next, your viewpoints of the Colorado River and Hoover Dam get even better with a Lake Mead boat cruise. This highlight includes lunch and 90 relaxing minutes aboard its three-deck vessel. Once aboard, see wildlife species that call the Lake home and breathtaking rock formations thousands of feet high. The riverboat cruise will take you to the closest point of the Dam from a watercraft so prepare to feel the rush!

The Hoover Dam and Lake Mead Tour is one of the most exciting and interesting ways to tour the Hoover Dam. You won’t find another Las Vegas tour company that goes the extra mile to show you the truly breathtaking and remarkable sites.

Once all the sights have soaked in, your arrival time back to your hotel will be approximately 2:00 pm. Plan for the full tour to be approximately seven hours from start to finish. In addition, we’ll have all of your noshing essentials covered: a light breakfast snack, lunch, and bottled water are included.

So, choose Grand Canyon Destinations where you will truly get the full experience indulging in Nevada history!

"Hoover Dam Express Tour"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

We loved our express tour. Jonathan, our driver/guide called to see if he could pick us up a little early and we sat up front in the motor coach where we thoroughly enjoyed his company. He was funny and informative! We chose the express tour so it would take less of our day and it was just enough. When we returned, he dropped everyone off at their hotels instead of the two stops we all got on and it was a nice way to see a little more of Vegas off the strip. Next trip, maybe we'll book the Grand Canyon tour and hope we get Jonathan again!

"This company dropped the ball but our driver picked it up..."

This rating isn't really for the company because truthfully they dropped the ball. After following instructions once I purchased my groupon then calling to reserve my tour which was the Early Bird South Rim tour I was told I'd be receiving an additional email with pickup instructions from the nearest hotel since they did not pickup at my hotel. Well I never received that email & I called several times & did not get an answer. I even sent an email & STILL....have yet to receive a response. I looked online to try & find the pickup times for the hotel (Golden Nugget) & I read 6am somewhere. But my plan was to get there at 530 just in case. Well 5am came & the driver called saying he was waiting for my mom & I. We explained we never got the exact time of pickup but we were ready & have a car & are willing to meet him ANYWHERE to make sure we got on the bus. Well there was no need for that because our bus driver Dirk was so awesome. Not only did he call but he made provisions to pick us up at a safe location directly across from our hotel. He kept us calm & told us not to worry he'll make sure we get on the bus. Literally within 15 minutes he was there. Dirk was great too! Very knowledgeable friendly & fair. This tour company also screwed us over & put us on the wrong bus. We were expecting to make a few stops along the way to the grand canyon but the bus was an "express". However our driver Dirk was able to fit in a stop on Route66 (which we were really looking forward to) so this really made the day! He was patient. He helped with pictures AND still managed to get us back to Vegas by 7pm! So...this rating is for DIRK! NOT GC Destinations. You guys really need to do better. And I STILL never got an apology for their screw up! What if Dirk wasn't as kind & simply decided to pull off without calling me? What if he wasn't as kind to figure out a way to pick us up near our hotel? We would have lost out on the experience & our money! Thanks so much Dirk! You made this experience incredible with your kindness & hospitality. We truly appreciate YOU!

Our tour driver and guide, Tricia Nelson, made our day. She was exceptionally professional, pleasant and funny. She was knowledgeable about the whole trip. She quizzed us with trivia and interacted when ever she could. My only regret on the trip is that I did not take the longer tour with this line. Next time the South Rim

"Fantastic Tour"

In our tour we had Carlitos as our driver and Renee as our tour guide. Both were wonderful and made our tour that much better! During the tour you are provided with a small breakfast (danish and granola bar) and lunch (sandwich, cookie, chips and apple). They also give you plenty of free bottled water during the day. The bus is comfortable and air conditioned. They play movies on the bus during the tour. They make a few stops along the way such as Hoover damn and Route 66 before getting to the Grand Canyon. When at the Grand Canyon you have three hours to explore, which is a good amount of time. On the way back they stopped at In N Out where you have an option of buying dinner. The tour guide provided us with lots of interesting stories of Vegas. She was easy going and allowed us to do what would make our experience better! Overall- excellent tour would recommend!
