"Filthy hotel"

As a World of Hyatt member clearly I've been to many Hyatt's but this one was awful. The hotel was filthy, insects remain on the floors in the lobby all weekend. The elevators have pretzels that are never cleaned up. Bathrooms seem to have trash removed but filth on baby changing tables is ignored. Mentioned to staff this problem, but it was never addressed while we were there. The hotel is next to Disney, but it's a huge PITA to get in and out. There is a gate that keeps people from coming in without staying at the hotel, but it backs up traffic. Seriously, who cares is someone drives up to the Hyatt? The room had stains all over the carpet and the furniture. I assume it is from Coffee (at least that is what I'm telling myself) and the bathroom had black mold all over the shower. The doors are not sealed so you hear everyone in the hallways, even just walking and light comes in all night. The curtains for reasons I cannot fathom do not call all the way down the sliding window doors so the light comes in first thing. I was able to request extra pillows to build a fort to keep the light out. This hotel is the classic case of looking "ok" as long as you squint. My wife will divorce me if we ever have to stay there again. I cannot recall the last time I was this disappointed in a hotel.

"Relaxing and Beautiful Getaway"

Spent two nights at a company event. What a beautiful place. Service was extraoridinary. Rooms were immaculate and beautifully appointed. So relaxing. Very quiet and the staff went above and beyond to accomodate any needs. My only complaint that for the steep price of the food, the quality was not what it should have been. We ordered room service (breakfast) and it was very poor quality.

"Dated. In need of repairs. Horrible housekeeping."

Stayed for three nights. Hotel is dated but what you’d expect for the area. However the rooms were not in good state and housekeeping was awful. Didn’t even take trash or leave towels. Took over 7 minutes for anyone at the front desk to even answer the phone to get towels so we could shower. For the high price and ridiculous resort fees, you should really stay elsewhere that is more modern with better service.

We normally stay at the Ritz or Four Seasons when in Orlando but can't always justify those high prices. We found a great deal at the Grand Cypress and, based on all the good reviews, decided to give it a try October 29-31. Wow, we had a great experience there. Check in was very efficient and our room was ready early. We had contacted one of the managers ahead of time regarding some special requests for health reasons and everything was handled perfectly. The resort is modern, extremely clean, and the grounds are gorgeous with many activities included in the resort fee. Our room was spacious, spotless and in good working order. The bathroom only had a shower stall and single sink. Also, the bathroom door is a little strange design as it is a sliding door that blocks the closet and safe. We also are not a fan of the european shower as it could not be angled in place properly so you had to hold it in one hand. The shower also had a ceiling rainshower though. The balcony is extremely narrow and does not contain any furniture. Bed was very comfortable. 2 free bottles of water were provided in the room but they were not replenished. We did not get any turndown service so I don't know if this needs to be requested. The maid also forgot to leave a replacement bath mat but we had extra towels. The resort has a small convenient market in the lobby. It is open 24 hours and sells sandwiches, baked goods, snacks, wines, Starbucks coffee etc. One morning we had the breakfast buffet in the restaurant and it was pretty good with a lot of variety. Free shuttle to Disney and Universal had convenient times although it drops you off at the transportation and ticket center, not at any of the Disney parks entrances. While the bathrooms at the Four Seasons and Ritz are bigger and more luxurious, there were other things we liked better at the Grand Cypress. Service levels seemed about the same for both except for turndown service and limited bottled water. We would not hesitate to stay here again.

"Great hotel"

I stayed at the Hyatt recently for a business trip and I would definitely recommend it. I was able to check in much earlier than the normal check in period and definitely appreciated it as I got in earlier than expected. The room was clean and cleaning crew did a good job each day. I didn't use the room service, but did eat at one of the restaurants on site and the pizza I ordered was good. Getting to the pool is a bit of a trek with having to do down the lengthy amount of stairs, but definitely well worth it once you get down there.
