I stayed here for 10 days, and the internet was so so slow all of the days. And I not talking about streaming-videos-slow , I am talking about website pages taking good few minutes to load. It felt like I was back in the old dialup days. I mean it is 2019. How can a reputed name like Hyatt not afford good quality high speed internet,.??? I dont think I will ever book the same place again. I had to leave every evening and work in a cafe nearby. Starbucks internet was so much faster than Hyatt's. I am raising a complaint to my travel department at work.

"Great hotel and location!"

I booked this hotel and then read reviews, I was nervous about staying here. But let me tell you, this hotel is amazing! The front desk was very friendly. My mom and I felt very comfortable and walked around the neighborhood and took the Metro with no issues. We walked to Union Market that is about a 15 minute walk. There are some homeless and it seemed a bit sketchy a block or so away, but it wasn’t any different then when we visited the National Mall area, or Georgetown. We could hear the sirens, but again we seemed to hear them all over DC. The room itself was so nice and large! We loved the floor to ceiling windows. The mini fridge was also handy! I would definitely stay here again if coming to DC!

This hotel is one of the best in downtown DC. If you are looking for a home away from and enjoy great breakfast. This is the hotel for you. The fridge in my room was not working and before I could make it back to my room from informing the front desk, there was someone in my room replacing it. Excellent customer service! Book them now!

the hotel was clean. Staff very helpful. Close to metro. very convenient. The area around the hotel looks a bit sketchy in some places and some areas look very good and there are a few homeless people we encountered but nobody bothered us. If I had been alone, I would have been a little more concerned walking around at night but I was in a group of 5. Walked to and from metro multiple times day and night and had no issues. would definitely stay again as i found it to be very convenient to all I wanted to do. Was there on vacation. Breakfast good. Pool small but nice. Was concerned when I read previous reviews about the area but it was not an issue.

"The Name "US Capitol" is misguiding"

It is an okay place to sleep, but the neighborhood isn't exactly what the name suggests. Staff is friendly, but hopelessly under educated or just not motivated enough. Because they are friendly, but you just don't get the results you expect when you interact with them. And that is a leadership and management issue - in that order. But do go there - is good, but could be great ...
