"OK. Hyatt Recognition Very Weak."
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

I would agree with the other reviews that the service is pretty mediocre. On the upside, the rooms are very clean and the hotel is in a great location walking distance to Soho. Certainly has great potential. I think the management probably just needs improvement. The Hyatt globalist benefits here are really lacking though compared to other Hyatts. I never received any waters. I asked for an upgrade and even though tons of suites and upgraded rooms showing in the app, I was told no upgrade could be provided because front desk agent had no authority to do anything only the front desk manager whose apparently not there at night. Room was very small. The breakfast is really mediocre. Breakfast also appeared on my bill both days, front desk had to manually remove it. When I told him I was going to do the mobile checkout, he said Globalists have to manually go to the front desk if they want breakfast taken off otherwise its not removed. Strange, not like that at any hotels. I hope Hyatt brings improves the customer service, as this hotel certainly has potential. I liked the location very easy to walk around and cool vibes...

We will stay here again soon! Easily accessible from several neighborhoods. Loved the modern design, and great friendly staff. Gorgeous city view from the rooftop terrace. Fun to walk around and explore from this spot.

"Visit to NYC for a 50th Birthday Celebration"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

Hotel is very clean and room was a decent size, much bigger than where I’ve stayed before in NYC. About a 5-10 min walk to the subway, the area felt safe. Beware a large deposit is due when you check in and I wasn’t warned at booking. View from some rooms are not as pictured and not very nice really. Drinks in the bar are extremely expensive even for NYC. Might have been nice for the hotel to somehow acknowledgeD my partners 50th birthday but no one seemed interested 🤣

"Wonderful NYC weekend getaway"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed January 21, 2020 NEW
I was having a weekend getaway for an anniversary with my wife and was pleasantly surprised with the Bowery 50 hotel. Not only is the location extra convenient to get in and out of the city (being right next to the Manhattan Bridge), but also extremely convenient since it is in the heart of chinatown, a hop to little Italy and half a mile to SoHo. Since the time of check in, we were greeted politely with some Complimentary Champagne in our room!. The decor is minimal ist with a mid century modern style, sleek lines, beautiful wallpaper. But probably the most wonderful surprise are the floor to ceiling window with the NY skyline and the Empire state building view! This is not something you can easily find in NY hotels. The hotel was also very courteous when we asked for an extra blanket since it was cold and snowing over the weekend.
