Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Nearest Universal Orlando in Orlando, FL

Well we initially had only booked 2 night stay for quick stop prior to our planned cruise departure in Miami but plans changed at last minute the night we arrived and found out cruise was cancelled due to COVID 19. Luckily we talked to the greatest desk clerk Martin I have ever met when we decided we would just stay couple extra nights in Orlando before heading back home. When we told him the reason and he seen me and my mother were there with our 2 teenage girls, he did his best to get us the best rate possible for the extra nights. He seen how disappointed the girl were and he just started talking and cutting up w/them every time we seen him to where by end of our stay they were calling him their best friend and as teenagers they were saying he was nicest guy ever. He went above and beyond for us which you normally dont get from a hotel desk clerk b/c most are just interested in getting you signed in and on your way. I cant rave enough about how much he made our stay better especially during crisis of everything just starting to shut down in town. He could have easily just been annoyed and uninterested in his guest due to situation going on but he kept smile on and was chipper every time we seen him. He was interested in what we were able to do during our stay and wanted to hear all about it from the girls and they would be so excited to come back to hotel just to tell him. They even asked if we were allowed to tip him b/c they said he definitely deserved it. I appreciate his kindness and all his effort to better our stay 110%! If anyone deserves a raise or promotion it would be this guy!! Well now as far as the hotel itself LOL, the beds are amazingly soft, rooms and facility were clean and the free breakfast was very good w/good variety of items to choose from. Girls loved the view at night of Fun Spot rides lit up from our room window. The free shuttle bus to Universal Studios was great addition to our stay here so we didnt have to pay to park or fight garage traffic. This hotel is very convenient to the Universal parks, other local attractions and many places to eat and shop at. I would highly recommend this hotel.

This place is awesome! The manager Angel is amazing and very accommodating! The staff were just great including check in and breakfast! The room was spacious and clean and for a quite location however very close to Disney it’s perfect! The location is great, easy to find and no traffic. The hotel is close to all amenities and restaurants including the outlets!Always love staying here! Please guys become members as they treat you unbelievable well! It’s just a 10 out of 10!

The hotel has been remodelled so the lobby, breakfast area and rooms are quite nicely decorated and looked modern. There is a corner selling snacks and drinks and a desk where guests can use the computer which is a plus. However, the lift lobby on each floor hasn't been remodelled so it looked very dated. Room was on average size, good for 2 adults + a small child only. Breakfast ok, could be better if provide more choices of fruits (only banana is offered). One thing could improve further - the wifi speed which is kind of slow.

the front desk was helpful and quickly checked me in(a plus). The room was clean but the walk in shower needed a second look(shedding hair at the bottom-up minus) I just used my traveling lysol and called it a day!

Doris made a very good impression at first site. Kind and understanding. And all good after that. Every time we would walk by the front desk. She would greet us again. Thank you again. You made our trip more pleasurable. And the free breakfast in the morning. Wonderful as well.
