"Spend the money on a hire car and DIY"

While the drivers do their absolute upmost to make the trip informative and enjoyable, you are a number in the money-making business. The Island Circle trip consisted of three stops that seemed to be a financial sharing deal. The "Rest Stop", a gift shop and pearl market. "The Ranch", a tram ride looping a small section of the bottom of the mountain (which included indistinguishable audio of I think a history relay) and stop for a photoshoot, returning to the cafe and yes, gift shop. Last stop, "Dole Plantation" where you can spend more money on consumables and you guessed it, more gifts! Horrendously overpriced gifts. Later in our holiday, we found the same item I'd been considering, for half the price in a little gift shop in Haleiwa. Unfortunately, we had booked a tour to Pearl Harbor at the end of our holiday with them and it was just as woeful. Rushed in and out of one part of the museum followed by a drive-through tour of other significant places of interest. Really, hire a car and DIY. You will gain a far better experience.

We did the Pearl Harbour, Arizona, city tour. It was ok, but the driver, Fred, should try and treat his passengers like they have a brain. We appreciate that some passengers might be a nightmare when it comes to following instructions, but please don’t repeat every message three times in detail.

Shuttle from airport to hotel was very good. The driver explained the delays in getting to hotels due to a parade. Was extremely helpful in organising assistance to get to check in and finding manager to assist with this. However..... on phoning to confirm pickup for return to airport I asked exactly where drop off was..... was told where you drop off your bags, which unfortunately was of no assistance to myself being totally unfamiliar with the airport. I asked then if it was where the airline check in was.... and again was told it was where baggage drop off was. This transpired to be one and the same. At your airline check in/baggage drop off was all I needed to know and this was indeed the situation. I gave up on Roberts Hawaii and rebooked on another shuttle service the hotel used. This shuttle service was user friendly and also went above an beyond with assistance to get me to the check in area. Had the return service offered been much better my rating would have been above average.

Our driver/ guide was Kyle and he was just awesome. He had such great knowledge and pride in Hawaiian culture and history. The tour itself is a great way to start a vacation on Oahu because you essentially see the whole island or where stuff is to do. It’s no pressure and you see a lot of amazing scenery. I’D highly recommend doing this your first full day. Maybe not for kids but for couples it’s perfect.
