The people who work there are very friendly.. It’s in a easy location in downtown Gatlinburg.. I didn’t know when I walked in that you actually have a chance to beat world records and get your own..

More than half of the better more popular games were broken or wore out and not working properly. It's criminal what they charge and the poor condition of everything. After the horrible experience we had here kept us from going into anything Ripley. Including the aquarium. Handicap access is terrible.

I really enjoyed the guinness world records museum. It had a lot of different and interesting things as well as a lot of interactive activities. The only issue that I had was that the exit at the end of the museum takes you out of the back side of the building instead of the front where you came in at so you then have to find your way back around to where you were.

We stopped in on a rainy day and had a blast. Most of the attractions were working and the kids had a great time trying to break the records.

"Better than I expected"

We got the Ripley combo pass and decided to try this out. When you go in, you get a pass which you can register at the machine. That way it will keep track of the games you played and your scores. You use this pass to activate the games downstairs. Upstairs there is some reading and a few "challenges" to try and beat standing records. There are some very interesting and weird records for sure. Downstairs is like a free arcade! You use your pass to play anything and everything, always trying to better the scores others have. Skeet, basketball, shooting, map making, pogo stick jumping, balancing, Pacman, word games, cutting down tres, etc. It was not very busy and my teenagers played for over an hour, jumping from one game to the next. At the end, you scan your pass and it tells you what your strong/weak abilites are based on the games you played (intelligence, strength, thinking skills, coordination, etc). It was a fun morning.

"Interactive & Challenging"

The Guinness World Records Museum was not quite what I expected. It beat my expectations. The museum is located on 2 floors. The entry floor requires some reading of various world records on the wall. The bottom floor allows guests to beat each others records on a variety of activities, including typing, basketball and skee ball to name a few. Guests were badges they may register and try to set a record for each activity. I was very impressed with the amount of interactive activities. I highly recommend this museum if you are feeling adventurous or would like to compare your skills to other people. I would recommend 1 to 2 hours to visit this museum, depending on how adventurous you feel. Tickets: You may purchase tickets individually or as a Ripley's combo to save money if you are planning on visiting a number of their attractions. Parking: City parking garage or off-street lots for a fee. (plan on at least $10 to park, depending where you park)

"Kids had a did Mom & Dad!"

Ok, I admit, I did NOT want to do anything Ripley's on this trip. But our kids are super into world records and when we ran into this place we decided to treat the kids. We had a coupon for $4 off each adult ticket (received when we purchased our Skylift Park tickets). $60 for a family of 5 to do anything in Gatlinburg is pretty reasonable, ha! Reading the reviews we knew they would have a blast. And they did! Surprisingly, so did mom and dad :) We went around 8pm and it was not busy at all. We were able to bounce around from one activity to the next and played everything many times. There are lots of pictures and signs with world records for just about everything you can think of so that was fun to read too. My 15 year old tried so hard to beat the first place record for the day at shooting hoops, but settled for 2nd place. We spent a good 2 hours playing here that night! If you do any Ripley's attractions, this is it!
