Our stay was nice ,very clean and the receptionist was awesome gave of tips on our stay on what other things we could do. I like that very much that she did have to say she didn't have to but she went out of her way to make me feel welcomed.

My buddies stayed over the weekend for the SDSU Home Coming game. Cheap and convenient with lots of places to eat, drink and be merry close by. Nothing special, but clean enough and convenient if doing things near Point Loma and the beach areas, especially OB.

"Room seemed clean!!! "

So... -the staff is really helpful. -The room looked clean. -I checked the bed upon check in and saw that there was a zippered mattress cover on the beds and all linens looked clean. -bed was a bit firm You get what you pay for. This hotel was about $100 when others were $150-$200. The hotel next door was $200 for example. The hotel is in an industrial area with 2 adult strip bars in walking distance. It feels pretty screechy.. it is close to lots of food. Just prepare yourself for a neighborhood that you won’t want to walk around in after dark. Hotel does look like they put some money into it with a re-model of sorts. Lots of locked gates and the walkway outside the room is secured. Not sure if that is good or bad. Won’t probably be back.. in hind sight, I should have spent the money and stayed in a better area.

"Uncomfortable bed & poor A/C, but ok for the price"

I really wanted to like this hotel. The ratings on booking.com were really good and it was one of the cheapest hotels in San Diego on Thursday. I don't mind a lower end hotel/motel, so Good Nite Inn was fine for me. In the end, it was just that... fine. But my sleep quality suffered. The bed was not comfortable to me and the pillows were way too thin. Other reviewers mentioned the A/C didn't work, well I had problems, too. Mine worked but not as good as it should. I woke up at 5am super hot and finally put the A/C at like 63 to have it be 70-72 in my room. That's how it stayed all night. Not sure if I'd stay here again, I've definitely stayed in worse hotels. But the next night I paid nearly double the price to stay in a hotel with a great bed and didn't regret it, so probably not.

This is one of the worst hotel I have been to. The only good experience was with the helpful front desk attendant. Don't book on the 3rd floor on a hot day. The AC unit is too small. It was 80F when we came in the room and never got below 78. The ventilation in the room is inadequate. I could not sleep because I could hardly breathe. Will not go back at a Good Nite Inn ever.

helpfull staff, standard rooms like in many motor inns.both advantage and disadvantage involve the location: on one hand sea world is the next door, on the other hand the neighborhood not so family freindly.
