"Awesome weekend getaway!"
June 2019
It was a great Memorial Day weekend visiting and staying at Gaylord Palms! The Florida themed atrium gardens gave a relaxing and soothing atmosphere. We stayed on an 8th floor room with Florida view and the sound of the waterfalls made us feel like we are in a rainforest.

"Great hotel, busy but well run"

Spent 2 nights recently to visit the ICE exhibit. Check in took about 5 minutes which isn't bad for a hotel this size. We valet parked which was easy and it took about 20 min for our bags to arrive in our room. Our room overlooked the main atrium. Everything about the room was nice and updated. The balcony was small - just enough for 2 people to sit but no room for a table or anything. You can see other rooms with larger balconies but it wasn't a big deal for us. We ate at the Moor sailboat restaurant. Didn't have reservations but was still sat around 7pm with only a 10 minute wait. It does have a limited menu for a seafood place but the food we did have was good. Breakfast was room service. Came in less than 30 minutes and was average room service food. Worked for us! The ICE exhibit was cool.... There was no wait when we went there around 11am on a Sunday. Took about 15 minutes to go through. I would do it again. When we left it took less than 10 minutes for valet to bring our car up. Its a little pricey but on par for the area. I will be back.

"Cool Event and BEAUTIFUL RESORT!"

Personally I loved it! The amount of detail on the Ice was amazing! It wasn't too busy either. The free side for both kids and adults was fun too. The only thing I think was ridiculous was the 24 dollar parking fee. It's almost as much as the ticket! The Hotel itself is beautiful! We had a nice stay here. This was our first time staying at the hotel. The beds were comfortable and the room was quiet. The hotel is large with plenty of options for food. It is in a good location convenient to Disney. I was able to go for some runs in nearby Celebration. The restaurants and activities were pretty pricey. There were also no bath robes which would have been nice.

"First time my grandson seen snow!"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

where to begin, took my grandson and mom to the polar express ice event and was blown away! Absolutely a must see while it's here! Even though it was crowded it all seemed to run smooth and the cold air was quite comfortable. I know it says 9 degrees but a light jacket along with the one provided with hat and gloves is plenty to wear. The sculptures are magical and gorgeous! There are extra activities available and my grandson did the snow tube and snow ball throw all reasonably priced and he had a blast! First time seeing snow or feeling it that cold. We are definitely going next year. I encourage you to see this magical event you won't be sorry!

"Sprawling destination hotel near attractions"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

My wife and I stayed here for a conference. First, the place is huge, a good venue for a large conference. The atrium is massive, and an interesting walk to explore. The downside is that with all the greenery and running water within the atrium, there is a heavy, humid feel to the entire facility. Our stay was pleasant enough. The room was sufficient (our view overlooked a construction site). It is quite a jaunt to get anywhere else on the property. We found in our interactions with hotel staff that one or two persons seemed interested in offering advice or assistance. By and large, our experience of the staff was one of indifference. From this location you are just minutes from Disney Springs and other attractions. There are shopping areas and restaurants nearby as well, but the hotel itself is isolated . . . nothing within walking distance. There is an onsite Hertz rental car desk and a bag check kiosk for early or late arrivals. Finally, the hotel was pricey. They have to pay for the atrium somehow!
