"Should likely be dropped as a Marriott hotel"

It's almost like they put up a hotel, sent in a team to give it just enough passibility as a Marriott/Four Points Sheraton banner from the outside and then left it to very inexperienced or apathetic management. If I was a representative of Marriott I would lobby to cut ties with this hotel and strip it of its affiliation. Booked as one of the only hotels in-policy in Charlotte. Got here and immediately regretted the decision. Even for the price, the place is a mess from the inside to the outside. Seems as if they are trying to plush it up with FPS style but it can't mask this is an old hotel with a lot of work needed. Outside looks like a construction zone, hard to even find the entrance. Front desk staff is flighty. Lobby and continental breakfast area is generally clean. Rooms are updated in some ways but they miss critical elements like cleaning up caulking in the bathroom and keeping the plumbing up to date. Had to wait two days for them to unclog the shower. Frames are literally pealing off their pictures. Coffee pots in common areas that produce coffee that tastes like they haven't been cleaned in years. I could go on but it's not worth it. Neither is this hotel.

If you ever get stuck at the airport in Charlotte (and if you fly American Airlines you prob will) I HIGHLY suggest this hotel. I would suggest it no matter what your reason to stay. The staff was AMAZING!! After a terrible night of dealing with airlines Jerome & Jarrayl truly helped make our night SO MUCH BETTER. They helped us with all our needs! They truly went above and beyond!! And the shuttle driver Ken took us to the gas station as it was late and we were in need of drinks and food from our day of travel. We hit the jackpot with this place. Oh and rooms are clean and nice!

This hotel been in renovation for longer than usual. Its seems like the owners keeps pausing the project because of money issues. They need to close the hotel until renovations are complete. The workers are horrible I had to work late and came to the hotel late after getting off. I had to knock on the glass door because the manager was in the back room sleep. This was very unprofessional and she definitely didnt hide the fact that she was sleeping. All of the front desk staff are unprofessional. They definitely dont know how to handle situations in a professional way. Hotel working is having professionalism and good customer service. This is the job you chose and out of town people definitely looks forward to a calm face after a long flight, drive or work. I would advise to go somewhere else. This hotel is trash interior, exterior, and people. This is definitely one of the worst hotels Ive ever stayed at. I will never return even after renovations. Im sure everything will be cheaply repaired nothing I want to see or pay for.

We were happily satisfied with our room especially after reading the terrible reviews. But everything from the lobby to our sixth floor go on was nicely renovated and updated. Kind and helpful staff. The king size bed was the best and we slept very well. Very quiet and we even had a view of the lynx train. The station is about a give minute walk to take you to uptown. Hot shower with the shower supplies already on the wall. Hairdryer available as well as a safe. Only notation is that there is no fridge but that was ok we only stayed for the night. USB charger port and electric station for cell phones. Very clean.

This room was a dump. Was told they are renovating but obviously our room was in the process and it was late and the end of a really long travel day so we stayed. Shower head coming out of wall, 1 tiny bar of soap because they use those annoying soap pumps, totally flat pillows, 1 remote for both TV's, no furniture in what was designed as kitchen area, freezer full of ice and refrigerator fell out each time door was opened, all drawers in kitchen area empty and not even a spoon, moldings were ripped out, dark and dreary furniture, AC system that sounded like an explosion every few minutes when it kicked on, draperies hanging off rods, light cover over light in shower room broken, sink hot water at night not hot, shower handle not working and could barely adjust water. Also, we needed help navigating to several places we needed to go but neither the check-in night person nor the check-out clerk knew anything at all about the area and said to use our GPS.
