"Worst Customer Service, cancelled our reservation w/2 hours notice"

Was traveling 10/19 from New England area to Washington/Landover hotel and had reservation booked directly through their website for over 2 weeks. Was driving with wife and 2 small children nearly 8 hours to stay here. Got a call at 1pm while driving on the GW Bridge in NYC (check in was 3pm). Clerk said his manager told him to call us and tell me they sold out the hotel and were not honoring our reservation even though it was directly through them and credit card info was on file. After 20 minutes of getting nowhere, spent the ENTIRE drive down the New Jersey Turnpike (nearly 2 hours) calling and getting transferred/re-transferred with the corporate # all on bluetooth car that family had to sit through listening to. Got disconnected by them 3 times and had to keep starting over. RUDE customer service reps, everyone told us some version of "too bad" and "there's nothing we can do". Offered to compensation as far as booking a room elsewhere and closer, told us to visit their website to book a room even though I was driving. Offered no discounts due to inconvenience. Was told by everyone we talked to the hotel overbooked due to an NFL game the next day near the hotel, and at the very end the last rep said enjoy our stay in Washington D.C. and HUNG up. Had to find a side of the road hotel for the family at nearly double our budgeted amount. Will sleep in my car before ever setting foot in an Extended Stay America.

We came to just have a one night away from the house. We decided this location because of the kitchen. My guy been a building engineer at many different commercial properties so any hotel we stay at he always checks the room fully upon actually staying. First room he rolls back the sheets and there is dry blood stains and cigarette holes in the blankets and sheets. He immediately wants a refund and the front desk convinced us to stay and they would move our room. The next room the line seem fine and I convinced him we could stay. We ordered the kitchen dishes which took an hour to arrive and by this time we just decided to order out because we were told the dishes were being washed and we didn’t have an estimated time of arrival. There are little hairs on the back of the toilet and also stuck on the shower walls. Burnt hole on the toilet seat. It seems as a pet of some sort was here before us because there was hair on the night stands. The worse experience ever and I really want my money back. I tried to make light of the situation for the sake we just wanted one night out but come on sway. Date was September 4th checkout September 5th

ONLY redeeming quality was the desk clerk, Ryan. Do not let this fool you into staying there, or choosing this location from a distance. Blankets on the desk and no sheets; stained pillows; constant flow of people in and out of the building; loose hairs all over the unmade bed. Later in my trip I needed a room during a rain storm late at night - I still would not have stayed here. This is a flop house / bordello.

Arrived to check in was given a room someone else was already in Zed didn’t have a clue which rooms Where clean or not? The second room was not a queen very uncomfortable !! I work for extended Stay in Charlotte so I know how it is suppose to work!!

My faimly and I stayed at the Extented Stay of America there was some issues and concerns, after Mr.Perez took over as the manager there was "BIG" inpovement, his asst. Kadian is very Professional, good customer service , goes over and beyond to help you with anything alone with Mr. Sed the overall staff is friendly, with great customer service ..I will recommend this hotel ...Mrs.Perry
