"Great location"

The front desk staff is top notch. The location is perfect, central to all attractions. We had a medical issue and had to leave a day early and The Edgewater and Tripster were both awesome and very accommodating.

Tip: The back of the hotel is quiet but the view is a wall of dirt. The balcony does not offer a view, but is fine to sit for a bit.

This hotel is really nice. We stayed two nights just for a little get away weekend needing some fun and a break. We had a private balcony and fireplace. The pool and hot tub are amazing. Also it's just a few minutes walk from the main strip. We ate, shopped, and had a great time. The hotel staff was so nice and personable. We will be staying here again for certain.

"Outdated, nice location"

Hotel was outdated; however, staff was nice and location is convenient to almost everything. Only about 18 minutes from Pigeon Forge as well. Breakfast was the same each day and included biscuits, gravy, eggs, and sausage patties. You can also make your own waffles. The food was not good at all in my opinion...after seeing the options second day and realizing they were the exact same as the previous, we ended up venturing out for breakfast. The pool area was nice but very crowded. Also, front staff stated that pool closes at 11; however, there were teenagers out there well past 11. That would generally be fine, but given that our room was directly above the pool area and the fact that they were very loud was a bit annoying. Parking in the deck was TERRIBLE. The lot is so super tight it is almost impossible to find a spot and still be able to exit your vehicle without hitting another vehicle. I think on our next visit we will try to find another location to stay; however, if you can look past a few outdated things and some noise, the location and being in the heart of everything is a nice feature to this hotel.

"Quaint and Charming "

Looking for a quaint and charming hotel in downtown Gatlinburg TN? Then check out the Edgewater. Located in between Ripleys Aquarium and the Ski lift plus walking distance to all the shops and other activities in the area you should never need to drive until you leave. Now I will say the parking garage and area is limited and slightly difficult to maneuver with a larger suv. The registration desk is on the 2nd floor from the parking garage. Nice views of the city can be seen from the elevator and the rooms. The indoor/outdoor pool area was enjoyable. The pool could use some minor updates as the mountain and bear mural relates to the area but the painting needs touch up. The two whirlpools were enjoyable. The breakfast was typical offerings of most hotels. The waffles were the best tasting item. The biscuits and gravy were delicious too. While the scrambled eggs were made with extra pound of salt made them taste horrible. The breakfast area is large and seating is available for many people. The rooms were clean. The beds were very comfortable. Overall, I would give this hotel another try if I'm returning to the area.

"Loved it!!!"

Loved our stay here. Our room was very clean & spacious with a fireplace, balcony, hot tub, refrigerator, microwave and very comfortable bed. The location was within walking distance to downtown Gatlinburg and Ober Gatlinburg. We had free WiFi and they offered breakfast. We didn’t eat breakfast there either morning so can’t really say if it was good or not. The staff was extremely friendly!!! It also has an indoor and outdoor pool, an exercise room and also a fire pit with chairs located outside close to the pool. If I had to say anything negative it would be that the elevators were extremely slow and the parking deck is only made for compact cars and it was still difficult to park there. The parking spots were small and difficult to get into. We parked in front of the hotel on the side of the street and that worked out well for us. The only other issue we had was the toilet in our room wouldn’t flush without having to hold the handle down. I would definitely recommend staying here and look forward to our next trip.

This is the 5th trip we have stayed at The Edgewater Hotel and Convention Center. We love the convenience of the location. We use the conference room each time & the staff is so helpful. Our rooms are clean and comfortable. BUT, & there is always one, the parking garage is small!! Parking spaces are not wide enough, nor long enough. One thing I wish is that the remodel would be completed. Carpet has been stored in the parking garage every year we have been there.
