"Great location"
January 2020
The front desk staff is top notch. The location is perfect, central to all attractions. We had a medical issue and had to leave a day early and The Edgewater and Tripster were both awesome and very accommodating.

Tip: The back of the hotel is quiet but the view is a wall of dirt. The balcony does not offer a view, but is fine to sit for a bit.

"Little Retreat"
December 2018
This hotel is really nice. We stayed two nights just for a little get away weekend needing some fun and a break. We had a private balcony and fireplace. The pool and hot tub are amazing. Also it's just a few minutes walk from the main strip. We ate, shopped, and had a great time. The hotel staff was so nice and personable. We will be staying here again for certain.

"We enjoyed our stay!!!"

The staff was great and our check in/out was very easy. Our room was spacious and well cleaned and the bed was comfy. We had everything we needed plus. We only had a few cons. The grab and go breakfast didn’t serve coffee and the only reason that mattered is because the coffee maker in our room was small and did not brew coffee well at all. There is only 2 elevators in the hotel so you will have extended wait times especially on check out days. We will most definitely stay here again!!!!

My husband and I just got back from a long weekend stay. Everyone was so friendly and accommodating. Our room was beautiful and very clean. Staff and visitors alike were very respectful of social distancing in the common areas. The location is amazing, it’s in the heart of the city but very quiet. We frequent Gatlinburg often, this was our first stay at this hotel but won’t be our last.

My husband and our son had adjoining rooms with my brother and his daughter. All of us had a great stay. All of the employees are friendly and helpful. No breakfast buffet because of Covid but there were hot biscuits, fruit, yogurt and cereal each morning. The location was perfect! So easy to walk to restaurants and shops.

We stayed in a double queen facing the river JULY 4-12. Employees were taking COVID precautions so we had grab & go breakfast that consisted of sausage & biscuits, fruit, yogurt, juice, cereal & milk etc..Overall clean room not huge but big enough with refrigerator & microwave. TV format seemed to be off making screen smaller but we didn’t ask for help with it. No problem getting extra towels or toiletries when ask (we requested no housekeeping) Small balcony with two chairs & small table overlooking river & town. Watched fireworks from hotel although a huge tree was blocking our view from our balcony was a bummer. Parking wasn’t too horrible it is tight & mainly people taking up more than one space was the issue. Never had a problem finding a space except late at night. A lot of remodeling carpet and stuff in parking garage taking up some of the space. Elevators seemed normal to me maybe slow once or twice not a big issue. Was satisfied with our stay and would return. The pros are clean room, walking distance to town, nice employees, swimming pool indoor & out although (cons) the shallowest is 3ft. & Pool slide not in order. Another con for me was to my knowledge there is no laundry services there. That was an issue for me as I had to visit laundry mat 3 times during our stay. Also I noticed people that definitely weren’t staying there parking in the garage for free & walking to town & saw some sneaking into the pool that were not guests. I felt safe there but didn’t see any security to keep this from happening. Anyone can walk in, park, swim it seemed without being checked too closely. Didn’t have to have key to get on elevators or pool. Overall we were satisfied and would stay again.

"2017 dated soft drink in vending machine"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5
Reviewed July 16, 2020 NEW
Stayed there last month. There were three of us. They gave us 3 cards to enter room. The key only worked the first time. After leaving the room, my key didn't work when I tried to re-enter. So I had to go back to the desk to get a new key (which deactivated the other keys the two other guests had while they were still out). Then later on when I returned to the room with my second new key, same story again exactly. The 3rd key didn't work and I had to return to the front desk for a new key, again leaving the other two guests with keys that were then again deactivated. Also, got soft drinks out of the vending machine by the swimming pool. Took a drink and it was awful. Checked the date on one and it was 2017. I talked to person at the front desk and asked them to please see that those soft drinks were not sold to any other guests. The elevators were extremely slow the entire day and many guests were complaining after long waits and having to take the stairs. The hand sanitizers by the elevators were not in working order. . I received a partial refund after complaining the night of the visit and then the next morning at check out. They actually wanted to just refund me for the cost of the coke. I know computers malfunction but it was irritating for me to have to return to the front desk repeatedly for new keys. I am sure the motel will issue a response to this complaint. To me, there is no justification or explanation for selling cokes to your guests with an expiration date of 2017. Again I am requesting that management not sell these outdated products to their guests. This was an unpleasant experience from beginning to end.
