"Would not recommend"
February 2019
Booked on Third Party site: Reserve Pigeon Forge, called them before booking on the site to make sure the price was the best price. Told the person who answered the phone that the main reason we are booking their Motel was because of the indoor pool and the breakfast. When we arrived, the person who checked us in, told us the pool was out of service. I told her that was the main reason why we booked their Motel. I decided to at least look at the room. We get in the room and there was no toilet paper holder in the bathroom, the sink handle would come off in your hand and the refrigerator door would not close, if there was any weight in the refrigerator. We ask the front desk to have maintenance come and give us a toilet paper holder. When they got to the room, they told us the front desk should have told us that their our sites will allow us to swim at their indoor pools. I am not usually one to complain about my stay at a motel, but this place was not cheap, we called them and they never said anything about the pool being under renovations, the attendant never told us about being able to swim at other sites and this was just all around a very poor experience. I would not recommend this motel at all!!!!! If you want to be screwed and not told about issues at your motel you're stay at, then go ahead and stay at Econo Lodge Riverside.

The staff were so nice, the hotel was sold out but continued to maintain the nicest best attitude! They recommended a good restaurant and things to do while we were in the area. Buy your dollywood tickets here to save money!! I hate we didn't. The location and river view with all the ducks, geese and birds were great to feed them with the kids. close to dollywood. Breakfast was ok, people staying in this place are rude and don't understand to take one and keep going. There's not enough seating for breakfast and always a line waiting but we got what we needed and moved on. We will add this place to our list and be back! Thanks!

My husband and I stayed for our Anniversary. We were supposed to check in on a Wednesday but due to unforeseen circumstances had to check in on Monday . I called and they were able to get us in for the two extra nights . We stayed in a King room riverside. Rooms are very clean and well kept. Perfect size for us . We were surprised at the choices for breakfast and the staff were continuously making sure everything was full. They have a decent size dining room and also have tables outside and by the pool area if needed . The riverwalk is beautiful and we loved seeing the ducks and geese daily . The firepit is also a great area to sit an unwind from a busy day in Pigeon Forge . Hotel is located in a great location and in walking distance to great hotels, shops and attractions. We are looking forward to staying here again next time we visit Pigeon Forge .

We just needed a clean place to stay a night and definitely got that. It wasn’t fancy, didn’t even give you soap and we could hear our neighbors even sneeze so it wasn’t a luxury stay by any means but was clean, friendly staff and comfortable bed. Not somewhere I would want to stay more than one night but definitely good enough especially if you’re on a strict budget! In a good location in central PF and close to The Christmas Place.

Nice property and location. Breakfast ok, but very crowded. Need larger seating area. We had a king room on river side. Room clean, comfortable. A little small for 2 people and luggage. Bathroom hard to get in/out due to large handicap door, but not a handicaped bath. I would have given a better rating, but was the little things in room that should be repaired for a more pleasant stay. We both have CPAP machines. Nearly all the plugs on wall and all 4 plugs on lamps are worn out. Cannot plug into and expect the plug to make a connection. This was not only an electrocution hazzard, but fire hazzard also. Next, the door lock would not work several times. Took many tries. Even had maintenance clean lock, but did not help. Third, the fan in AC/Heat was very noisy. Forth, the shower head showed many adjustments to flow, but if you tried to adjust, the shower head falls apart. Too many other motels in PF to check in to.

Our family travels to the Sevierville/Pigeon Forge/Gatlinburg area frequently. We usually rent a cabin and relax since we’ve already done the touristy stuff, but since we could only stay a couple days, we gave the Econolodge Riverside a try instead. We had a great time! The property was nice and clean, and our room (poolside double queen) was clean and comfortable. The pool area was clean and we enjoyed swimming and lounging in the hot tub. The breakfast was good with variety and there was coffee and fruit available in the lobby. The staff was friendly and spent a great deal of time chatting with my sons about Chief, the parrot they keep on loan from Parrot Mountain. About the only thing negative I can say is that the hotel entrance is not at a stoplight so it can take a while to enter and exit the parking lot if traffic is heavy. I can’t say enough good about our stay at the Econolodge Riverside. We got a lot of enjoyment and I think this hotel offers a lot of value. I’m already looking forward to planning our next stay in a few months.
