"“The Best of Maui Tour”==Underwhelming tour--not worth the cost--most disappointing tour of the cruise"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5

Took "The Best of Maui" tour from Polynesian Adventure Tours via Norwegian Cruise Lines and the Pride of America on a Monday in early February Iao Needle State Park was very pretty. Spent about 20 minutes there. Over 100 steps to climb to get near the needle. Clean portapotties available (4 stars). The Maui tropical planation tram tour was totally underwhelming. Short tram tour through demonstration planation fields with about a 10 minute stop to see a coconut husking demonstration. Trams are covered so we were mostly protected from the occasional showers. To enter and exit the planation tour, we had to walk through the store. In addition, there were numerous other opportunities to buy food or drinks. Essentially just a stop for us to spend money. Disappointing considering what this tour cost from NCL. More to see in tropical gardens there but we had no time. Ok but just not worth wasting time for after traveling 6000 miles. Go see something else. (1 star) Maui Ocean Center was very nice but we had too little time here (about 2 ½ hours). A sit-down lunch was included but totally disorganized and took about an hour. That left only 90 minutes or so to see the MOC. We decided to see their 3D whale experience at 1230 but so many people were in line we had to wait until 1pm to get in. The show was excellent but that left us only 40 minutes to see the rest of the MOC. Not enough time. (4 stars) Overall, this Polynesian Adventure Tours/NCL tour was Ok but not great. Iao was worth seeing. The Tropical Planation should be dropped completely and the time spent at the MOC instead. Even drop the included lunch at the MOC and let us forage instead or spend the lunch hour touring the MOC.

This is a 8 hours trip and start about 2am Our tour bro Preston pick up everyone on time by their resided Hotel, Condo, Timeshare etc.. Multiple stops for restroom break, coffee. Take about 2 hours drive up. Preston is fun, patience with a lot of Maui info to share... not just for this tour. Sunrise is aaaamazing. Of course, expect windy and cold or even rain.... mother nature rule. Drive down is smooth, Preston tell Maui stories from astronauts to best bar in Maui. Everyone is entertained by his knowledge. Hot Breakfast after trip put a pause of the tour. Then the tour bus bring everyone back. Great experience and will use Polyasian again.

"Haleakala Sunset Tour"

We decided to take the sunset tour. Our driver was very pleasant and informative telling us stories and facts about the island. We stopped at a general store along the way. The store had snacks and souvenirs for purchase. When we arrived at the top, we had plenty of time to view the crater and surrounding areas. Even with the clouds, we watched the beautiful sunset. After the sunset, we went to dinner at Cafe O' Lei. Food was good and plentiful.
