We did the USA Tour of DC monuments, memorials, the Capital and the White House. Of course the Capital and White House are closed so we could only look at the outside. Our tour guide, Nick, did a great job providing details of the buildings, and had lots of interesting facts. As we went on to see the major memorials like the Lincoln Memorial, the Korean War memorial, etc., etc., Nick continued with a running commentary of facts, jokes and tidbits. The memorials, with the exception of the Lincoln Memorial (which was the starting point for the National Day of Prayer March the day we visited!) were not crowded so it was easy to see more detail and take whatever time you wanted rather than feeling rushed. If you want a good overview of the area and key sights, this tour provides that. I'd recommend Nick, if you can get him. He made it more interesting even with all the closures and restrictions due to the virus.

Nick truly is THE tour guide. It's REALLY something for me to say that because I was the tour guide. But Nick's knowledge puts mine to shame. Not only does he know about the places, he knows and shares about historical events that happened at them. He provided an AMAZING amount of information. And the "hilarious" part? He "pun"ished us all night ("I like to sit on the steps and read at the Corcoran Gallery because I can read between the lions" (you'll get it when you take the tour)).

DC Historical History Tour was amazing. It was indeed hysterical but very historical. Nick was our tour guide and out of all the tour guides that I've experienced around different states that I've toured, he is the TOUR GOD! Nick is very informative and well efficient. He was knowledgeable, resourceful, and funny. I was impressed with the dispatcher, Dewayne who took everyone's temperature before we boarded the bus. Nick made sure we followed the Covid guidelines and made sure we sanitized our hands. If you want to have a great tour guide experience, book USA Guided Tours and ask for Nick. You will not be let down. What an incredible experience!

Nic showed us around DC for two days for our visit. We could not have asked for a better tour experience! Nic truly made our trip! Knowledgeable, funny and so very nice. HIGHLY RECOMMEND! He gave us recommendations for restaurants and with our short trip made it possible to see all the landmarks and more.

Frequently Asked Questions about DC Deluxe Tour

Where do I meet for the tour?
Tours meet and begin at the Neptune Fountain before entering the US Capitol Building.

When should I arrive?
We highly recommend you arrive at least 20 minutes before your scheduled departure time to ensure your reservation is honored. You have up to ten (10) minutes before the scheduled departure time to ensure your seat on the tour. Ten (10) minutes before the departure time, we note outstanding reservations as "no shows." If we have walk-up passengers, they will be given a ticket and will be boarded at this time.

What vehicle is used for the tour?
We use 35-passenger shuttle vans for daily mixed tour groups. We reserve the right to substitute our larger 55-passenger buses, depending upon demand and/or our tour schedule. The 55-passenger buses have bathrooms on board for your convenience.

Can I bring a baby stroller or wheelchair on the bus?
Unfortunately, the shuttles are not wheelchair accessible, nor is there storage for baby strollers. If you have a wheelchair, please call us to make special vehicle arrangements for your tour. Some of our tours involve longer walks so if you like, you may stay on board the shuttle, near the landmark, without exiting the shuttle bus every time.
