"Blood, Bugs, and Semen"
November 2018
If negative stars were available, that's what this hotel would have gotten. There were blood stains and cigarette burns on the comforter, every piece of linen including the towels were dirty, there was a white caked on substance streaking the side of the night stand, I was awoken at 1a.m. by an insect crawling on my mouth.
We were scheduled to stay 2 nights but decided to leave after one. The next morning I asked for a full refund of our stay. The manager would not refund the night we stayed since we should have reported the problem "within the hour of check-in".

"Good place to rest"

Quiet place, clean. Personnel are professional. Easy in an out. Many places to visit in the area including Bass Pro and Smoky Mountain Knife works. Right of the interstate. I have stayed there many times in the past ten years.

"Poor unit"

This place is behind the times of upgrading its rooms and hospitality to the increasing rates that can’t offer the amenities as other brand hotels that do the things to keep up. They treat the staff like salves the rates go up but the poor quality of the hotel unit is still at the off-season rate quality.

"Nice Room, Quiet"
TripAdvisor user rating 4 out of 5

Although this property is right on the Winfield Dunn Parkway, directly south of I-40, it wasn’t as noisy as I had anticipated. The room was fairly clean (dirt around the top edge of the shower/bathtub) and the water was hot and plentiful. I was a little concerned about the small lizards - the door to my room had about a 1/4 inch gap between the bottom of the door and the sill plate - as I had seen some scurrying across the parking lot when I pulled in. The AC was very quiet, with no rattles or thunks. Room cleaning service came by at about 8:30 AM and handed me a roll of toilet paper, but never did come back to straighten the bed or refresh the towels. That was a little frustrating, especially since their card says, “We’ll make the bed!”

"Terrible. This is a Wyndham property?"

New carpet, bathroom flooring and a new bedspread are like putting lipstick on a pig for this dump. Even before getting to the room, it's hard not to notice the stains on the walkways from whatever it was that was spilled. Need a mop? The fitted sheets were on the bed inside out in both the initial room and the room we asked to be moved to. So, we just flip the fitted sheet for the next guest? Stains on the shower curtains, holes in the walls and we even got a bonus empty beer bottle on our "balcony" that housekeeping missed. The balcony door wasn't locked, so someone must have been out there. At checkout, I felt bad for bothering the young lady and having her do her job. She couldn't have been more disinterested. Also, the noise from the highway was incredibly loud. The doors weren't security doors, just regular doors with hotel style locks on them. Avoid this place by all means. Still can't believe they charged $150 for a night.

The staff at the front desk were very friendly and did the best they could with what they had to work with. Linens needed to thrown away!!! Breakfast was carb-overload. Did offer bananas that we enjoyed Not even a good cleaning could bring this tired, worn out hotel up to a 3 star.
