"Great customer service!"
January 2019
My wife came down with a fierce cold on our trip and the entire staff was extremely accommodating and providing food to bring to our room for my wife to feel better! Granted it might be an older hotel but the staff made us feel like we were staying at the Ritz Carlton! The hotel is centrally located for our vacation and we will definitely be staying there any time we visit San Diego!

"Good Hotel Experience "

Upon arrival, I noted that the hotel was a little dowdy, and in need of an upgrade. However, after my interaction with the staff, I concluded that this was a well run hotel. Customer service was prevalent in all areas of hotel, to include the front desk, wait staff, housekeeping, and shuttle service. The service was actually better than my recent Hilton, and Marriott stays. The hotel had several veteran reunion going the same time as my Vietnam group. There was not a feeling of crowdeness, or overlapping of the other guys programs, as the hotel had multiple facilities. At checkout, the front desk agents, Rachel, and Taneesha upbeat attitude capped an outstanding stay. Would book again.

Friendly staff and hotel was clean and comfortable. Nothing fancy but well worth the money and the staff at all levels were really helpful and friendly. Thoroughly recommend.. $11 Uber ride into town or $5 all day pass on the MTS. Great stay..

"Never again"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

This was by far the worst experience I have had with any hotel stay in my 15 years of travel. At check in I was told that the breakfast and dinner that comes with the room booking was only for 1 guest. (Not mentioned on website). Went up to the room and the door batteries are dead. No big issue. Took 2 visits to front desk and a 45 minute wait for the maintenance to replace. At this point I’m already frustrated. Finally, we get into the room only to find mold growing on the wallpaper and vents. I would NOT recommend this hotel to anyone. Terrible experience.

"Still Dated Looking And Clean"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed September 01, 2019 NEW
Been here in 2016, 2017 and again August 2019. The place is dated, but overall the rooms are clean and modern TV and furniture. They do provide a shuttle to the nearby shopping mall or to Old Town San Diego mostly every 1/2 hour and they will pickup you back up if you call the front desk. Everyone is friendly except for Jaime. I guess everyday is a bad day for him.

"Good location and fun time!"
TripAdvisor user rating 3 out of 5
Reviewed August 25, 2019 NEW
Was here for five nights for an annual festival fothat sells out the entire property. Reading reviews ahead of time I did not know what to expect. Lobby area is very nice, staff all very pleasant and helpful. Public area's very pretty with the atrium, fountains and koi ponds. Lobby bar was pretty packed most of the time and staff seemed a bit overwhelmed at times but kept smiling. Drinks were all good and wings were quite good! Room was quite large with the bed, furniture and carpet seeming newer. Drapes a bit dated but clean and functioning. Bed was very comfortable. Overall room was very clean and comfortable with a large balcony. Bathroom was large with a double vanity, tub/ fixtures older but very clean and functioning. Pool area was nice although very crowded with little shade and tables and chairs. In walking around the property little things did stand out as needing some "attention", Cobwebs in corner of balcony and on light fixtures by elevators and in hallways. Some walkways could use repainting. Nothing major and did not subtract from my stay. Only real negative was we had to call to get room serviced, even with housekeeping seeing us leave and being gone for several hours. When serviced they did a great job, just shouldn't have to call to prompt it. All in all had a great five days and would return again!
