"Great customer service!"
January 2019
My wife came down with a fierce cold on our trip and the entire staff was extremely accommodating and providing food to bring to our room for my wife to feel better! Granted it might be an older hotel but the staff made us feel like we were staying at the Ritz Carlton! The hotel is centrally located for our vacation and we will definitely be staying there any time we visit San Diego!

"Very Nice, Not so good location"

This hotel has the best bed I have ever slept in, in my whole life. The rooms were very clean and up to date. The garden of the hotel made a nice view from the room and the pool was a good size but didn’t see anyone swimming in it whilst we were there. The location like most the hotels in San Diego are far away from any attractions and you need to get transport between places but the hotel does offer free shuttles to the zoo and other attractions.

"It’s not bad"

It’s not good either The entrance lobby looks the part And if you go through the lobby, back to the restaurant, into pool area and then the rooms on poolside, you’ll see a decent, but tired hotel, would go as far to call it cute Has good services, a functional gym, laundry room, clean pool, coffee shop It’s the tower at the back that needs a complete refurbish - the rooms look dated, and worst they are not maintained - you can see places where the paint has cracked, they have put furniture in front of full body mirrors, some cow webs near the window... The lifts look like maintenance lifts - the paint is cracked and they are dirty The hotel has a great location and could be a great hotel, but it’s in desperate need of refurbishment

"Dated, staff just okay, definitely not a 3-star establishment"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5

Hotel was dated. Hotel is rated at 3.5 stars but not worth the price. First room the A/C did not work, they sent security to try to fix it. Why they sent security instead of maintenance staff or just moving me is beyond me. I was moved next door to a room that had cob webs, a wobbly refrigerator and patches of carpet missing inside the closet. If the room was one 1 or 2 stars and less money then maybe it would have been acceptable. I booked through Priceline and did not know what hotel I was staying at so I did not have the opportunity to read the reviews prior to booking. If you read the other reviews you can confirm my review.

"Disgusting hotel facility BUT wonderful employees and good fare."
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed April 08, 2019
Wonderful employees, good restaurant BUT without a doubt the worst facility in which I have stayed in a long time. "Disgusting" sums it up. Old poorly kept rooms, dull, poorly maintained, sliding doors to a filthy patio, obsolete television access, dreadfully maintained and "scary" hallways, shabby, poorly kept and rickety and painfully slow elevators. In spite of a "do not disturb' sign hotel employees entered our room. It was more than just a dreadful experience. And to end it all "no water" on the last day. The owners of this facility are draining it for demolition. Absolutely dreadful!

Hotel was nice. Close to sightseeing. Bar and restaurant were good as well. We were able to walk to the USS IOWA. Lots of restaurants within walking distance. Port shuttle available for 5.00 per person and was first come first serve
