I haven't visited since the late 80's. Decided to try it out during a rainy day. Even though it has new owners and the exhibits were all sold they have been replaced and the place looks like it always has. Old school Gatlinburg attraction. If you miss several things that have been replaced in town, visit here, almost unchanged since my first visit.

Even though we have been to Gatlinburg several times, this was our first trip there. The gift shop is really cool, especially with so few Christian bookstores around.

"Squirrels live in trees "

Awesome Museum!!! $13.50 is a great deal for the story of eternal life. Plus kids get eternal salvation for free. The figures in the museum were amazing. The hydraulic lift was a great but a slightly weird touch for the Jesus ascension. The only negatives are that they had 2 donkeys that didn’t talk. In the post-Shrek society that we now live in it was hard seeing donkeys that don’t talk. I didn’t expect Eddie Murphy but the donkey had a voice that was muzzled. Also we saw a squirrel depicted in a desert scene but to my knowledge squirrels don’t live in the desert, there are no trees! Also in one of the scenes the beautiful voice described a scene where satan was depicted as a man. I got the lesson that evil can take many forms. However, the scene is confusing because there was a gargoyle sitting on the ground next to the guy that looked a lot like how I envision Satan. The museum should be commended for being inclusive of all people. The statues were of varying ages, races, sexual orientation, socioeconomic class, etc. For us that helped drive the museum’s message home.
