"Excellent way to see the city"

We were only in Chicago for a weekend and really only had one day to see most of the major sites. We did this tour, as you were able to get on and off as much as you wanted. Really enjoyed the tour guides. We were able to see all of the major sites we wanted to see, get some great pictures, and learned a lot of interesting things about the city of Chicago. We never had to wait long for a bus, and the workers were all very nice and helpful. If we had been in town another day, the second day free would have been very handy, as we could have enjoyed more of the stops along the way, but just being able to see the whole loop was very cool!

"Great service"

We have travelled on Hop-on Hop-off buses in many countries as we find it a great way to get an overview of the city. The great thing about Chicago Hop-on is they have guides that talk you through the trip with additional personal touches. We had Kurt as the tour guide & Robbie as the driver. As we were first on, we had Kurt to ourselves for a while and he answered all sorts of questions about his city. The great thing about this company is they provide a great service and aren’t packed out like their competitor. We chose the 2 day pass which gives you one day free! Making them a clear winning in my books and highly recommended.

"Guides were horrible"

The 2 guides I encountered thought they were comedians or singers. They spent more time on that and gave little to no info about city and sites. They were obnoxious and not funny. Suggestion to company - have guides who give info and history and skip the celebrity impressions and bad jokes.

"A Perfectly Convenient Transportation Option!"

Reviewed July 06, 2019
My family boarded the free trolley from Navy Pier, in order to avoid the walk over to the Magnificent Mile where are we wanted to do some shopping and sightseeing. We knew that the rain would be coming during the time we were there, and we wanted to maximize opportunity to be in the sun while walking along the shopping strip. The trolley helped us to accomplish this goal quite well. It was a quite helpful that the trolley drivers announced each stop and the nearby attractions at each stop as we rode. My family and I got off at St Clair Avenue and made our way to the Water Tower Place first. We were able to shop, eat, and sightsee for about 3 hours. The rain showed up as we were preparing to leave the Magnificent Mile and head back to Navy Pier. We only got a little wet while waiting for the return trolley. It was the best trip ever!
