Description

from Central Park Pedicab Tours
No trip to New York City would be complete without a visit to Central Park, and there is no better way to see it than a tour from Unlimited Biking! You can take in the sights and learn the history of the park and New York City on a guided pedicab tour.

Unlimited Biking’s fleet of pedicabs is ready to show you and your family the wonders of Central Park. If your family is diverse in energy and athleticism, finding a tour that comfortably accommodates everyone can be almost impossible. Smaller children find it harder to keep up with adults when walking or biking through the park. People in your family with impairments may find longer walks daunting – particularly in a group setting. Let our pedicabs take you on a tour your entire family can appreciate at the same pace.

Central Park is six miles long and over a mile wide, full of manicured landscapes, bridges, and stunning views. There is ample time to take pictures since you don’t have to watch where you are driving! Pedicab Tours are available for either one to two hours in the park.

The price of the tour includes the rental of the pedicab, which seats two adults or two adults and one child.

"Eddie is an amazing tour guide!"

My sister and I were fortunate enough to have a private walking tour (courtesy of COVID-19 pandemic, or maybe it was because everyone chose the biking tour?). Eddie, our tour guide, included fun tidbits about Central Park and the sights there. I'm a huge history buff and I enjoyed getting to know the park, it's history, and how it came to be. I also thoroughly enjoyed getting to see my favorite movie spots!

Really enjoyed this leisurely stroll through Central Park with our tour guide, Debra. Having lived in New York for 40 years (and still hasn't lost her Massachusetts accent!), Debra brings both a detailed historical perspective on this hour-long tour of the lower half of Central Park, and oftentimes a very humorous take on the people and events that are part of her narrative. Her sense of humor was infectious and made for a very fun and enjoyable time as we moved through the park. I find that it's always great when someone in-the-know can give you their take on things, esp. when it's the result of having lived in and "seen-it-all" in this amazing city. Including my family of four, there were only 7 of us on this tour (while the weather is often going to be a toss-up at this time of year, I'd highly recommend these types of tours now, when the crowds are smaller), and that made it much more personable for all of us, I think. Much like some of the other tours we were on this week, we were able to move at a comfortable pace and enjoy everything we were seeing. A lot easier to take pictures this way, too (NOTE: if you take this tour with Debra, you WILL be taking pictures; she LOVES to take pictures of you with these great sights of the park you're visiting in the background!!). All-in-all, this was a terrific tour, and you even get Debra's personal recommendations for where to go for a good bite to eat afterwards!

Tour was a 2 hour relaxed walk around Central Park finishing at Strawberry Fields, which is close to the Natural History Museum. Our guide was Chuck, very easy to “get on with” and very knowledgeable. Enjoyed it !

If you are into spotting celebrities (we are not), you can't go wrong in Central Park. They are all out jogging, walking their dogs or just chilling. An absolutely massive place, and you need a lot of time to enjoy it all. You don't need an expensive tour, get get a map!
