I saw this amazing room on the website and to my surprise once I arrived it was as if I was in a nightmare the room was nothing like advertised so I immediately called in to no avail you were closed.

"Hotel stay"
August 2018
I stayed at this motel a few times before going to the park . I was really surprised and disappointed when I saw how run down the place had gotten. Walking through you could smell a dead mouse or rat. Inside the room there was lots of dust and hair. The microwave and mini fridge wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been. There use to be a Denny’s connected to the place and that was completely closed. Because this motel is literally across the parking lot from kings dominion you would think it would be the best but it’s not. I honestly wouldn’t stay there again. Although the staff was very nice it’s just not worth my comfort

"Centerstone Inn"

Hotel room was clean, however didn’t appreciate had “do not disturb” sign on door when I left to shop for the day, I come back and the sign is gone and my clothes and belongings were touched and beds were made. On top of it, maid knocked over my drink next to my bed and didn’t even bother to clean it up. I made a complaint ASAP after returning and front desk did nothing not even offer to have someone come clean it or anything. Other then that, bathroom clean. I enjoyed having cold cold AC and being able to turn on and off. Enjoyed free ice + ice bucket. Bathroom lighting and sink was amazing if you’re a girl.

"Decent Stay"
July 2018
The rooms are within walking distance of Kings Dominion which was great! The rooms were standard, nothing great but not the worst, it served the purpose for what we needed. We were not there most of the time we were at the amusement park all day. The pool was clean, table tennis (table needs to be replaced). Local food eateries were approximately within 15 minutes. I would stay again

July 2018
I was a little hesitant after reading some of the reviews, but I'm so happy that I chose to judge for myself. This place was everything my husband and I needed, convenience to Kings Dominion, comfortable bed to plop on after we were exhausted from the park, courteous employees. If you are looking for fancy you are not gonna find it,but you are also gonna miss out on a wonderful hotel, Thanks Centerstone Inn for making our vacation wonderful

"Overall"

The room wasn't bad, the park was within walking distance & the pool was clean. I was a little disappointed about the Dennys no longer being attached to the hotel anymore. The good part was we found places to eat within 10 mins away at the most. The customer service was great as well. I would recommend this hotel & I also will be choosing this for my place of stay again

"Terrible"

Don't book at this hotel, it is very crappy and not taken care of. Our room was okay sized, but there was nothing to wash with in the bathroom the towels smelt like a chemical lab and they were making up the beds outside in the grass. The TV kept losing service and the beds smelt disgusting! Go ahead and spend the extra money on a better hotel and you won't regret it.

Room had roaches, killed 5 already and don’t know how many more in here. Never coming back here! Plenty of other hotels in the area to stay at next time, there’s a reason why this one is the cheapest.

My boyfriend and I booked a room at the Travelodge about a month in advance for our trip to Kings Dominion Halloween Haunt. He had stayed here twice before, said it was fine for the cheap price, so we booked again. However, this ended up being the worst hotel experience of our lives and nearly left us stranded without a place to stay. When we arrived on Saturday 10/5, we figured we would try to check in at about 3:20pm, a bit earlier than their posted 4:00 check-in time, just in case our room happened to be ready early. We were told by the young woman at the front desk that they were unable to check us in early, and to come back at 4:00. Sure, no problem. We killed some time for forty minutes, and came back at about 4:05 and checked in. At this time, we got our room key and headed to our room, only to find the door WIDE OPEN. We thought, this can't be right... So, we walk in, and find the room a complete mess (photos shown), with nothing but a wrinkled up mattress pad on the bed, a ball of sheets/towels on the floor in the corner, and parts of the faucet/drain laying in the sink. Immediately, my boyfriend returned to the front desk to let the staff know that there was a problem. The same woman, as soon as my boyfriend walked into the lobby and before he had a chance to speak, said, "Oh, is your room not clean?" So, clearly there had been several others before us with the same complaint! My boyfriend replied, "No, it wasn't," and said that we needed to get someone in there as soon as possible to clean it. The young woman's response was that, "They probably haven't gotten to it yet, they'll get to it eventually." Eventually? At this point, he was starting to get really upset. My boyfriend told the young woman that this was really inconvenient, and that we needed our room to have some place to change and get ready before the Halloween Haunt started. She then proceeded to suggest we change in the public restroom down the hall from the lobby. I had been waiting in the car throughout all of this, because I expected a quick room exchange and sincere apology like any hotel with any idea of proper customer service would have provided. However, when my boyfriend came out and told me what had occurred, I went inside and spoke to the same woman, saying that we've tried to be patient but this was unacceptable and that we needed our room to be cleaned now. This is what the young woman at the front desk said to me, verbatim: "Don't come all up in here with that attitude, do I look like housekeeping?" I just looked at her for a moment, shocked at what had just been said, and finally decided to demand a refund. She completed the refund, and we left infuriated, with only an hour until Halloween Haunt started, no place to change, and no place to stay. All the nearby hotels were completely sold out. We eventually were able to get a cabin at the KOA near Kings Dominion, but for almost quadruple the price of the Travelodge. Management needs to rethink the employees they have chosen to run the operations of their business, or provide them some serious training on professional behavior and customer service skills. I never take the time out of my day to write reviews for anything, but this experience was so awful, something needed to be said. Do not ever stay here.

Don’t stay here. The night clerk guy is horrible and makes me feel like I’m to blame for asking for what anyone would expect and paid for. Horrible service, horrible rooms, horrible accommodations. Day clerk was nice, but seemed lost. Night clerk is absolutely awful and anyone that hired him should be ashamed for not following up on his lack of customer service.

Now that the Wyndham owns this hotel I'm hoping they bring it up to their standards. The hotel is functional and close to the amusement park. The rooms are in need of updating but they were clean and comfortable. There is a pool which is large but the restaurant is closed as is the onsite bar.
