"Really wonderful, friendly staff, beautiful apartment"

There were four of us who went to Myrtle Beach for 5 days and we had read mixed reviews about Camelot. But we decided to go anyway because the holiday had been booked for a while and the location sold us on this place. We had read lots of reviews and we asked for a specific apartment (1509). It was a little higher than we had wanted but it sounded really nice. We were not disappointed because this apartment looked brand new with new furniture and a brand new kitchen, It even had a full sized dishwasher which was really great for us because we cook a lot. The towel situation could be improved. They ran out of pool towels all the time. But that was our only complaint. The restaurant next door was so close that it felt like we were still at Camelot. My advice, stay here but ask for an upgraded apartment. It's not that much more expensive and really worth it. 1509 for us was a dream and it felt like we were staying in a home rather than a hotel.

This was my first visit to Myrtle Beach. While the ocean front view was great, the room itself was very disappointing and did not meet my expectations for a 5 star lodging experience. The room I was given was nothing as advertised online. It was very old and outdated, and there was dust accumulation on the furniture. The bathroom door jammed, and I actually got stuck inside until my friend was able to help pry it open. The refrigerator didn’t work properly, and my beverages never got cold. There was no counter space in the kitchen, either. My key stopped working half way through my stay there, and I waited 20 minutes in the heat until a staff member was able to bring a new key. Every time I voiced my concerns to the front desk, I was only met with excuses as to why their lodging standard was so low. Because of this disappointing experience, I’m waiting to speak with the General Manager. I am hoping for a partial credit back to my account for the sub par lodging experience. Of course, I’m sure that won’t happen, and I’ll more than likely receive a generic, “we apologize for your experience, and we hope to be able to serve you in the future” response. Needless to say, I won’t be returning to Camelot.

So disappointed! The pictures are deceiving, rooms don't look anything like the pictures! Rooms are dirty, not sanitized! My husbands socks are black on the bottom from walking around the room. Our room wasn't ready, had to ask for blankets, more towels, and a bath matt. It was so loud, we barely slept. For what we are paying it should be fantastic and it's far from that! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone!

We got to Camelot and had a positive welcome from the front desk personnel! Tour room was quite ready and I was informed they would send me a text when it was. The room was ready before or actual check in time was scheduled. We had a GREAT time and will definitely tells others.

We had a 1 bedroom, room had all the amenities. Any staff we had contact with were friendly, courtliest, and knowledgeable. The hotel was well maintain, pools were very clean and refreshing. The only thing I could suggest is develop a limited breakfast bar ie; continental breakfast, for your guest who don’t want commute to a local restaurant.
