While at Busch Gardens, I loved strolling through Lorikeet Glen. The rainbow lorikeets really seemed to like me, or maybe it was just the nectar! To get the full experience like I did make sure to purchase a cup of nectar at the entrance to Lorikeet Glen.

Busch Gardens continues to outdo themselves. Christmas Town is an awesome light spectacular. They state over 10 million lights and I am surprised it is not more. A great event to walk around and really get into the Christmas spirit.

In town for Christmas Town and was not disappointed. We are BG members and Christmas Town is included in our membership. During the day it wasn't too crowded so we were able to get through a few shows and rides. The park at night is BEAUTIFUL. This was the prettiest I've seen the park in a while. We were here for Halloscream as well and were not as impressed. The ice skating show was the BEST! Scrooge show was great as well but that ice skating show took the cake. Thank you Busch Gardens for another great experience! (Unable to ride the train or the sky ride due to the long lines)

We visited on Black Friday (never again - the park was packed). But if you're looking for that Christmas spirit, this is the place. The entire park was festive with Christmas decorations, with each country having a different theme (tastefully done, not tacky at all). Although I did miss the snow blowing off one of the buildings in New France this year. Not enough seating in the common areas for folks waiting for their family members to depart their rides - the long lines make the wait time quite substantial and being able to sit down would be a definite plus. The food is subpar at best - we ate the sampler platter from Trappers Smokehouse located in New France. The ribs had too much fat and were grisly with not enough meat on the bone. The barbeque chicken had a delicious barbeque sauce but was dry and slightly overcooked and the brisket was dry. Although the tented dining areas were designated as heated, there was no heat to be had. At dinner we headed over to Das Festhaus located in Oktoberfest. Again the food was subpar - the sampler platter had a medley of carrots, green beans and wax beans which had no flavor and to my taste was not edible. The desserts looked yummy and beautiful but again was lacking in taste and quality. Forget the expensive meal plans, eat a hearty breakfast, and feast on protein bars during the day. You'll be doing your pocketbook and your stomach a favor. We have done Christmas town for many years now but I think it has run its course.

"Another Wonderful Year for Christmas Town"
TripAdvisor user rating 5 out of 5

This is the 6th year for our family to spend Thanksgiving in Williamsburg and go to Christmas Town. As our 4 generation group size continues to grow we have had to adapt our expectations each year to accommodate everyone. This year we incorporated more kiddie rides and fewer grown up rides. The park is always such a beautiful transition from Thanksgiving to Christmas. You really do need to plan well to avoid some of the frustrations of such a large crowd. Our group includes a stroller, a wagon and a scooter plus 7 walkers. This year half way through the park my mom’s scooter died. The battery had been fully charged so we knew it was a larger issue. We went to a nearby first aid station to see if they could offer assistance or direction. Everyone there was so kind and helpful. Devon and Pete helped us get mom to their location with a wheelchair. Devon drove me to our car, loaded my mom’s broken scooter and then brought me back to our group. By then BJ was delivering a park scooter. He then escorted us to the closest shop where she could complete the rental paperwork. All of this was completed within 30 minutes transforming our disaster into a small hiccup. Thank you so much to everyone who assisted us! The park does get crowded on Saturday nights but that is to be expected. The lights and decorations are just so beautiful. Suggestions: Eat before you get there Get to the park early for the rides as lines get long Stay until dark to enjoy the lights Slow down and let yourself enjoy the beginning of the crazy Christmas season

"Christmas Town Corporate Greed"
TripAdvisor user rating 1 out of 5
Reviewed December 01, 2019 NEW
Couldn't wait to bring my out-of-town friend to Christmas Town this year. I knew the day after Thanksgiving would be crowded, but I was not prepared for this. The park was so crowded that we had to park in the Scotland/Bavaria lot. I have been coming to Busch Gardens since 1983 and I never knew this lot existed. It took over 60 min. from the time that we drove onto the property to the time we actually walked into the park. People were packed in like sardines. We were literally shuffling, not walking, it was that crowded. You couldn't see through the crowd to see the lights, and if you did, you were sure to get hurt for taking your eyes off your feet. We were bumped into, stepped on, and rolled over by strollers. We made our way to Das Festhaus to see the big tree. The O' Tannenbaum show started and immediately shorted out. In addition, there were many, MANY lights shorted out all over the park. The lines for everything were 60-90 minutes long. I asked for a refund but was told they do not refund "used" tickets. Not sure what "use" I got out of them. It took us an hour to walk to Das Festhaus and then leave. We saw no shows, didn't go on any rides, barely saw any lights. BG doesn't think there's anything wrong because they were not at capacity. Well, that argument only holds water if you're there for all rides and have all day to wait in line. Not all rides are running during Christmas Town. Christmas town is for the lights, best viewed after dark, which means you don't have a large window of time to experience the FEW attractions that are open. Same amount of people spread amongst fewer attractions means more waiting and more people walking around. BG has these tiered memberships now that include admission to Xmas Town, so there's really no way to limit entry for a better experience. BG doesn't care though. As long as they make their money. A shame what has happened to this park. It used to be magical. Now it's quantity over quality; Corporate greed at its finest. A movie theater would refund tickets for a malfunctioning show, why not Busch Gardens???
