from Brewed in Brooklyn Tour
Toast your way through the past and present of beer brewing in Brooklyn! This neighborhood was once home to 48 breweries, but this ancient trade disappeared from the borough in the 1970s, only to be reborn in recent years with craft breweries leading the way. If you want a taste (quite literally...) of the history behind beer brewing in New York, look no further! On this NYC beer tour, we'll take a behind-the-scenes local look at how beer is made at one of Brooklyn's present-day breweries. Explore the pre-prohibition era as we check out 19th-century brewery buildings, visit landmarked sites, and share stories of the German immigrants who lived and worked in the neighborhood. Plus, don’t forget all the craft beer and food along the way! We’ll enjoy a number of great Brooklyn brews from all kinds of spots, and stop off at a local pizza joint for lunch. Join us as we raise a glass to the history and masters of beer in Brooklyn!

Bruce was the freakin man! What a great tour of the LES. My buddy and I (both currently living in NYC) randomly chose to do this and what an adventure it turned out to be - underground markets, best dives and neighborhood gems, and a full followup of reminders to revisit. Bruce is unbelievably knowledgeable and proud of this neighborhood and I could've enjoyed a few more hours on the tour! Would recommend for visitors and locals.

"Delhi - the secret mystique beyond the crazy Facade"

Day one in Delhi on my first trip to India as a solo female traveller. I booked the NY urban adventures at the recommendation of my flight centre travel agent in Sydney. We both agreed this tour sounded a bit more cultural and more than just temples. It was well worth every cent. My tour guide, Punita was so friendly, informative and shared so much knowledge about the complicated political and religious history of Delhi. I sampled an awful lot in 4 hours. It’s a great intro to riding the metro, it’s simpler than Sydney. Riding a Rickshaw, meandering the maze of lanes in the old city, the architecture is stunning. This particular NY tour is about the only way you will get to glimpse inside an Haveli and comprehend what it looks like behind all the ancient doors of the laneway maze. And the bonus is kite flying and a traditional Indian high me it was actually a feast of food. No dinner required after this for sure. And there’s more.., the Jama Masjid Mosque at sunset and Stop off at Asia’s largest spice market on the way home. My tour guide was a gem and I’m booking again in 12 days for another Urban Adventures tour when I return back to Delhi. Fabulous
