Description

from SUMMIT One Vanderbilt
SUMMIT One Vanderbilt blends elements of art and technology, taking the concept of an "observation deck" to entirely new heights. Explore three levels of mind-bending multi-sensory immersive experiences and enjoy spectacular 360-degree views of New York City and beyond.

Get a sense of rush as you step out on two glass ledges suspended 1,100 feet above Madison Avenue or 335 meters. Enjoy food and cocktails from Après, providing a relaxing and serene contrast to the city's energy.

From Grand Central, your journey begins with a resetting of your senses. You ascend, breaking through into another realm.

AIR
Immerse yourself in the digital art installation by Kenzo Digital, an artist that has taken the sky high canvas of SUMMIT and created one of the largest mind-bending cultural experiences in NYC called Air.

AIR: TRANSCENDENCE 1
You emerge into a boundless, structureless world, one with its own relationship to physics and time.

AIR: TRANSCENDENCE 2
From a new perspective, you revel in the breadth of the spectacle and witness the ecstatic first moments of new visitors entering the space.

AIR: AFFINITY
The experience evolves, becomes interactive, playful, as you connect physically to the space.

AIR: UNITY
Finally, you become part of the space itself—your cloud portrait part of a mesmerizing, infinitely evolving sky.

AIR AT NIGHT
As the sun sets, the magic of Air takes a new form as dramatic waves of color electrify Transcendence and Affinity, turning SUMMIT One Vanderbilt into a beacon of light and energy, visible to all of New York City and beyond.

SUMMIT One Vanderbilt is a must-see attraction on your next visit to NYC!

"The Summit"
December 2023
The staff when entering was very rude. We arrived early with no place to sit. We had tickets so we were not homeless. We could not sit on the floor or steps. Both security and Summit employees. Then we were told we could not go 1/2 early by another staff member asked for a manager who approved what we were told. Going inside they were rude. Only nice person was a young black man. Very nice young man. Then a white guy by the infinity shapes.

Tip: Be prepared to take a lot of photos and I would avoid wearing a skirt or dress with the mirrored and glass flooring.
